Guest guest
This is a site for an interesting story about our Cape Cod drinking water. http://www2.bostonherald.com/news/local_regional/cape06302002.htm Seems for over 60 years the Military and state hid information about ground water contamination. Spilled jet fuels and explosives contaminated our underground wells. Almost all of the Cape has well water. Seems even the EPA has helped in hiding these facts. Many homeowners now must either buy bottled water or rely upon the Military for bringing in water trucks. Much of the faucets give a brown colored water. Seems like sand. We became alarmed when our neighbor, the Hyannis Fire Chief, filled his swimming pool with water that was trucked in. This was several years ago that he started. Now it seems that the high incidents of birth defects are the result of the cover-up and silence. A few years ago I uncovered a State report about our own local water company. Seems the boys were suppose to be testing the water wells. Instead they were taking water from a faucet and saying it was from the wells. In spite of giving this report to many government officials and the media, nothing happened. You see it might hurt the tourism and real estate markets. Cape Cod - if the corrupt building inspectors don't rob you watch out for the drinking water. Ken Moulton 508-771-6365
