The Expense of Mold -

As a few of you know, my Mother went to a Nursing Home today. Our Doctors said she shouldn't come back into our home due to the toxic mold. If not for that, she would be with us. The mold was a byproduct of the combined corruption of our local and state government building inspectors and officials. In regards to the state, they also did part of the illegal construction.

The Nursing Home cost will be about 150 thousand dollars a year. If my Mother lives 10 years it will cost one and a half million dollars plus. Her expenses due to the Mold will be paid by government Medicare and Medicaid plus whatever she got from Social Security Retirement and the pensions from my Dad who is deceased The taxes of every American will go to pay for this.

Imagine if there were 1000 or 100,000 people in the same situation and the same expenses were paid over 10 years. The cost for 1000 people would be $1,500,000,000.00! Kind of staggering isn't it?

Imagine the health costs for those of us infected by mold, perhaps the health care costs might be another $15,000,000.00 over 10 years. Add on the cost of the loss of our homes and belongings to mold. Let us pick a nice figure like $50,000,000.00. Add on the cost of mold in schools, offices and other buildings. Let us add another $100,000,000.00.

My old style math says mold might cost us about $166,000,000.00 over the next decade. It could be two or three times more. When you look at the number, do you begin to understand why Insurance companies want to exclude mold coverage? Do you understand why the National Builders, Realtors and other groups are fighting against legislation that will hold them accountable?

When you begin to put a dollar figure on toxic mold, the picture becomes clearer. Now you might understand why my Mold Legislation is "unacceptable" to many that cause it. It holds them, as well as corrupt government building inspectors and the government that knowingly employs them, liable for the corruption they look the other way to.

Let us put a few faces to the equation. This is my Wife, Daughters and Granddaughter. Must they be the next victims of mold and the corruption that causes and allows it? Here, also, is the mold in our home.
