I sent a certified letter to the manager of our apartments letting them know that this apartment had been inspected by a certified toxicologist, toxicologist's name, his company and the city of location. I mentioned that this apartment is heavily contaminated with toxic molds. The manager got very angry and came over with another older in-charge type lady. My husband showed them a sizeable patch of green colored mold growing in one of our kitchen cabinets. The older lady ordered me to remove everything from the one cabinet then she called for a maintenance man to come over and spray the cabinet with bleach. He did then left, leaving a big mess for me to clean up.....as usual. It was silly. The silliest thing I ever heard of. Her answer to a pervasive mold contamination was to bleach one cabinet. Then we were strongly admonished not to send any more letters to the apartment complex office. (It's in our lease that all requests for repairs must be in writing to the office.) We were accused of "threatening" them. (We did no such thing.....yet.) Then I was told that they were going to send their own inspector over. I asked three times if this inspector was a certified toxicologist before she finally answered that he had been to some mold seminars. My attorney should have gotten the mold test results by now but as yet, he hasn't called. I've called his office twice and will call one more time tomorrow. Meantime, we are getting sicker every day. This place is unfit for habitation. I'm worried about my one cat who lost most of his body weight within a few days. Now his stomach is very bloated.....he looks 8 weeks pregnant....and I am not finding much results in the cat litter box. I can no longer drive a car because of toxic brain syndrome and my husband refuses to get him to a vet saying it's just "fat". Well, that's my story and I'm hoping for a happy ending......Betsy
