Sometimes I wonder if the CDC, ADA and the Pharmas are in on that (mercury in

fish) research, and issue the warnings on eating fish (scapegoats), to mask

their own use of it in vaccines & amalgams? Just like they are already ramping

up panic about the bird flu hoping the public will rush to clinics to be first

in line for a flu shot. Then if you complain about mercury poisoning they will

tell you.. " well you shouldn't have eaten shrimp and lobster either " . I would

me more apt to believe Dr. .

I agree with you. It is in their interests to do so.

Many a dentist has used that excuse on people I know - " oh you get more mercury

from eating fish. What are you gonna do stop eating fish! "

I always believe DR . Maybe if you already have a high load of mercury fish

can impact on it. But as she says irregular large doses of toxins affect you

less than daily small amounts from the same source, like your teeth.

The claim that eating fish and seafood carries a risk of mercury

poisoning is not entirely credible. Now, the flesh of sea creatures

such as sharks and whales may have enough mercury in them to cause

disease after a long period of consumption, but most scaly saltwater

fish do not have enough mercury to even kill a mouse. Naturally

occuring Hg is trace.

The question in this case would be, how do high levels of mercury

get into the marine food chain? I suppose one can get mercury

poisoning from eating catfish (catfish are bottom feeders), but

getting it from tuna or trout is quite a rare occurrence. There is

the Minamata Bay Incident of 1956, when people suffered mercury

poisoning after eating fish caught from Minamata Bay. The unusually

high levels of Hg were the result of a nearby plant's disposal of

industrial wastes. (Chisso was the name of the company that owned

the plant at the time. They still operate in the area around

Minamata.)

Fishing in Minamata Bay is still prohibited to this day, due to the

presence of mercury in the water sediment, and some of the space

around the bay as been filled in.

As for bird flu, I don't know how deadly it is, but I have caught

flu a few times without suffering any serious complications. I have

even handled wild duck feathers at one time and I have not gotten

any sicker.

If the tuna is canned it is toxic with cadmium, tin and others from

the can.

That seems plausible, scapegoats.
