Guest guest Posted August 15, 2002 Report Share Posted August 15, 2002 http://www.post-gazette.com/breaking/20020814mossp6.asp Parents to tour Gateway school closed by mold Wednesday, August 14, 2002 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Moss Side Elementary School in Monroeville, which was closed in February when officials found mold had formed as a result of a leaking roof, will hold an open house at 7 p.m. tomorrow. The school, part of the Gateway School District, has had a new roof installed, and the building has been cleaned to kill the mold. The district has been working with parents to make sure appropriate tests are done at the school to assure it is safe for the start of classes Aug. 27, said parent Madeline Havrilla. More than 300 students were transferred to Moss Side Middle School and University Park Elementary for the rest of the school year.
