Guest guest
Judy, Consider that mercury amalgams have been BANNED in many countries, and that in some countries, insurance will pay to have them removed because they are so problematic. Mercury is very toxic. The use of mercury in hat work was what led to the term " mad hatter, " because of the neurotoxic affects of it. Most dentists are not introduced to this information, and most are skeptics. Peggy <<From: " judy " <baumelj@...> question to everyone about the dental fillings business. that the whole business of mercury poisoning from fillings arose aobut 15 years ago when the German manufacturer of non-amalgam filling material started using the story as a scare to get business for themselves. Guest guest
Interesting. Check out the part about using an ordinary audio tapeplayer cassette demagnetizer on teeth. Dotsie From Dr. Duffy: A simple protocol for suspected Mercury toxicity. 1. Check for normal saliva pH, should be in the range of 7.0 to 7.2 - if the saliva pH is acid it will leech mercury from the teeth. Most patients show an acid saliva with a reading of 6.0 or lower. 2. Perform usual AK exam and treatment and recheck saliva pH. 3. Items for AK practitioner to check If pH is still acid: press tongue against front teeth - test intact muscle - if positive do following: check and correct suprahyoid muscles also check them for pincer palpation check the individual teeth especially teeth with amalgams. Fix suprahyoids and teeth, then: 4. demagnetize the teeth with fillings. Place ordinary audio tapeplayer cassette demagnetizer close to teeth and turn it on momentarily to demagnetize the metal fillings. This might instantly eliminate related pain syndromes. 5. pH Hydrion paper can usually be purchased at the drug store. Be sure it is in the range necessary for saliva pH. Should be able to detect pH range of at least 5.0 to 8.0. 6. If saliva is consistently acid this indicates not enough fats in the diet. The current fad for low fat diets is ill conceived and not recommended - if you have been on a fat free diet add some fish oil, PLUS cod liver oil, PLUS flaxseed oil and EITHER evening primrose or black current. The lack of essential fats is probably what caused Rush Limbaugh's sudden total loss of hearing. For those of you who might not have known, Rush very quickly went stone deaf but has been recovered by a cochlea implant. There is no doubt in my mind that aspartame poisoning might have been a contributing factor in his case which could have been rescued had he taken the proper steps with the right people. Guest guest
WHile you are on the ABX you have got to get your body in top notch condition. You have got to build your immune system to stand by itself once off the ABX. You need lots of bowel support because of Candida, lots of antioxidants to get rid of the toxins, hormonal support to help with the many functions that hormones support in the body, stress, recovery from injury, mood, sleep just to name a few. If you do not do all of this then the cycle will have to continue. ABX is just not the answer by itself. Have you tried anything else, this is a really tough battle and diet is also important. No sugars, no white grains, no processed foods, as many raw foods as you can this will help alot. If you increase your Glutathione levels you can help with the mercury and lead levels in your body. Your body does have the ability to rid itself of these things, just not when it is so sick. -- [ ] Mercury Amalgams Have any of you had your fillings removed? And if you did, did it help? I've tested positive for lead & mercury. My LLMD thinks having my fillings removed and detoxing for heavy metals might get me off this plateau I'm on. As long as I'm on abx I feel pretty well. Within a month of coming off, I'm back to brain fog, depression, swollen glands, achy joints . . . well, you know the drill. I'd appreciate any experience, resources, or opinions you have! Guest guest
, Thanks for the response. I'm still doing research, so I really appreciate hearing from you. I've done coffee enemas, Sanum protocols, and capsules from Jernigan. I get lots of sleep, exercise daily, and eat a healthy diet. I drink lemon water (to be alkaline) and green drink (also to be alkaline) and take probiotics. I eat a healthy diet, although I have not removed processed foods or sugar completely from my diet because I don't believe it's necessary and because I enjoy a nice glass of red wine now and then. I take supplements by the handful. I'm not as strict as I could be, but I think I'm doing a pretty good job of taking care of myself. Guest guest
Well it sounds like you are defiantly working at it. I was taking gobs of stuff to and just getting worse and worse. I had to learn the hard way that not all supplement are created equal. My advice to everyone is make sure the companies you buy from have GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Research all the ingredients and make sure there are no strange fillers, chemicals, or dyes, etc., If the company makes any claims, ask for the research to back it up, since there are no regulations in the supplement industry then they can say anything they want and it can be total lies. I personally think it is best to stick with a high quality company and use their products instead of buying all over the county. Work with someone who can help you build a program that is very comprehensive in covering all the needs the body has. I find most people do not do enough antioxidant support and have no hormonal support at all. And then I believe in the science of Glycobiology that states Glyconutrients are necessary for every cell function. These were part of my wellness program. Stay diligent and it will pay off. -- [ ] Re: Mercury Amalgams , Thanks for the response. I'm still doing research, so I really appreciate hearing from you. Guest guest
LOL! " Defiantly " is right! I'm skeptical of any claim -- with the only exception being that you can't beat Lyme without antibiotics. Your mention of glycobiology caught my eye. I'm not familiar with it. Can you recommend any reliable resources? Thanks, Jessie > Well it sounds like you are defiantly working at it. I was taking gobs of > stuff to and just getting worse and worse. Guest guest
Glad you are laughing at my typo. I am running out right now, but when I get back I will email you some info to your private email. -- [ ] Re: Mercury Amalgams LOL! " Defiantly " is right! Guest guest
Someone was looking for stats on the relationship between dental fillings, mercury amalgams, and health issues. A study was done at the University of Alberta by medical professionals a few years ago now, and it showed that the greater the number of amalgams in the mouths of mothers, the greater the risk of birth defects in the children. Direct and highly significant correlation. - Doc Meek
