Guest guest Posted September 9, 2002 Report Share Posted September 9, 2002 Valarie, I'm no expert, but I never heard of cat urine smells as any indicator of mold problems. My guess is a cat was in there at some point marking it's territory and the higher humidity or water leaks makes the odor more active and it smells more. But that's only my guess. Most industrial hygienists will concur on this if they have had much experience in dealing with a multiplicity of molds. These odors are extremely hard to eradicate even after remediation. S.
