Children's Environmental Health Conference

The Florida PTA's children's environmental health conference will take place

in Gainesville on Saturday, September 21. You can register through the

Florida PTA before September 13th. Their number is 800-373-5782. After

that date, please call me and you can register at the door. For those of

you who would like to volunteer to help with the conference in lieu of the

$25 conference fee, contact me at (352)375-3028.

I am attaching a flier with conference information. Please post this flier

and forward this e-mail to the people you know who may be interested in this

conference.

The conference will meet from 8AM to 5PM at Littlewood Elementary School,

located on the corner of NW 8th Avenue and NW 34th Street in Gainesville.

Lunch is provided on site by the Neighborhood Nutrition Network.

environment and their effects on children.

Find out more about children's environmental health issues such as sun

safety, indoor air quality, lead poisoning, diesel fumes from school buses,

SIDS, breastfeeding, school IPM, secondhand smoke, mosquito control and

mosquito-borne viruses, clean air, clean water, vaccines, the effects of

poverty, and how to keep your child safe from environmental threats.

Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM, $25 per person,

lunch provided by Neighborhood Nutrition Network.
