Guest guest
Ken, Interesting comments about dates of Doctors visits. I had the same experience when I requested and received my medical records. I had two visits with allergists. Hard to believe that they could get dates wrong. I remembered the date because we had an earthquake here in Washington when I was enroute to the office. I did not know at the time a year and half ago that mold was a problem. The allergy testing was done at my request after my pulmonologist had gotten my asthma under control. What a surprise when my testing showed a highly reactive response to many molds and two tree types. The doc wanted me to go home throw out my plants and dig up all of my shrubs. A year later I found out that we had mold at work. As I mentioned in an earlier post an Occupational/Environmental Specialist is the way to go. They are the ones who would, hopefully, put it all together. I have gone the route of various Internists,ENT,Neurologist,Pulmonologist,Allergist, even Ortho(after my swollen feet had created some nasty hammer toes from fluid displacement). In the past three years I have seen enough Docs to last a lifetime. I had persuaded my coworkers to go to the same Occ/Med clinic and we have all been impressed with the care that we have received.I wish you, your family and Janet(Gingersnap) the best of luck on the quest. By the way--I had tried to find info on Dr.Long on MGH website--none to be found. Hardly able to find anything out about Allergy clinic at MGH. Harvard School of Pub.Health,Occupational Health Program has some good links. One of the professors,Dr. is chief of Infectious Disease,Mt.Auburn Hospital. Dr.Rose Goldman,MD,MPH is the Director of Occ/Env Med.at the school. Sincerely, Eileen Berthelsen
