Guest guest
I want to thank Mr. Got for presenting how a skeptical defense attorney might approach a toxic mold case. It helps me prepare to face the skeptics during my own legal initiatives in the way that I will know what nonsense to expect from the " other side. " Mr. Got's strategy reminds me of similar arguments made by the Church when it was confronted by the fact that the World was Round, not Flat. It reminds me of the arguments the Church made against Joan of Arc to justify its political existence. It reminds me that even today there are people who sign up for the World is Flat society despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I must remember that in America, people are free to believe what they want despite the facts, and that ultimately we leave it to the law and judges in this country now to resolve our " differences " and make " justice " . I must remember that as a toxic mold survivor I will continue to be victimized, stigmatized and penalized by other people's ignorance. It doesn't mean I am wrong. It doesn't mean that toxic mold hasn't made me ill and that toxic mold poisoning isn't real. It just means that people like Mr. Got prefer to stay ignorant and feel safer living with their eyes and minds closed to new information and realities. It means that people like Mr. Got want to " not deal " with it all and prefer to deny that toxic mold doesn't exist and wrecks lives. After all, why should something so unseen and soo tiny rock so many people's worlds and ruin their lives. It must be mass hysteria or some other physical thing from the past. Toxic mold is too scary thing for Mr. Got to understand and too big and threatening an issue for him to deal with. Therefore he must defend against it and any information that may point to it being a reality. Unfortunately, there is an individual process to change and everyone processes differently. Mr. Got is not able to accept new information quickly enough to move from a defensive position into action or forward into preventative thinking. He is too busy thinking about " not dealing with it " . With people like Mr. Got, " time " or " actual experience " or will be the only thing that will move him from his defensive posture. That's ok for him because " time and tide wait for no person " and ultimately we are the ones who will be remembered for pioneering and speaking up. With toxic mold, I intend not to waste my time on the Mr. Gots of the world because " time " will take care of them. I prefer to spend my energy on helping those who need help and finding ways to prevent toxic mold from claiming more victims. Ultimately, there can be no defense for ignorance unless we allow " ignoramuses " to get away with being ignorant. I intend to demonstrate and prove that " ignorant " people " like and prefer " to " ignore " the facts right under their noses and intentionally cause other people harm and pain. They need to be made to pay restitution to those who have been victimized by their preference of " ignorance " in the face of the reality. All defense can do is tell us " that it was our own fault " and we should have to pay for it. Mr. Got is entitled to his ignorant opinion about how " flat the world is " . However, the courts have mostly decided the issue of " How ignorant is that??? " by the number of prevailing toxic mold judgments in favor of the plaintiffs.
