Guest guest
Here is the first letter I sent to him by fax. March 23, 2002 Dr. Aidan Long Clinical Director, Allergy Allergy Associates Massachusetts General Hospital 55 Fruit St. WACC 626 Boston, Ma. 02114-2617 Fax: 617-724-0239 Dear Dr. Long; I want to thank you and your associate, Dr. Krishna, for finally sending us your reports. After reviewing your reports, I have some problems with the accuracy of what you report or, in particular, left out. To start with, you state that we were seen on December 6, 2001 and Dr. Krishna states, by the date of her report, that we were seen on December 13, 2001. In FACT, we were actually seen on Friday December 7, 2001. This is a day after you state you saw us and six days before Dr. Krishna states she saw us. As you know, we came to see you due to unexplained illnesses we were having, especially Virginia. We asked if these illnesses might be caused from mold? More directly, we asked if Stachybotrys mold might cause these conditions. You stated you had NO KNOWLEDGE or background in Stachybotrys and could provide no answers. Imagine our surprise to read your reports and learn that we have nothing to fear from mold! I question how you can make these statements and observations on a subject that you stated you have no knowledge of? Why did you make these inaccurate and misleading statements on facts you admit you know nothing about? In my review, you state that I have no allergies. I had informed you, which you failed to mention in your report, that I have been allergic my entire life to Penicillin. I even mentioned that the US Army had deemed me as allergic to Penicillin and had given me a medical allergy alert tag to be worn with my Dog Tags. Perhaps I outgrew this allergy! In regards to Virginia, your staff had told Virginia, and you had stated the same, that she had failed the breathing test. She was asked if she had smoked and she replied NO. You mentioned that there was something in her lungs that needed to be tested further but you have failed to make any followup appointments for her with anybody in the Hospital. By failing to include these facts in your reports, you have denied Dr Mahoney this knowledge. You also stated that due to your lack of any knowledge of Stachybotrys, you might make a referral to the Infectious Disease Clinic. I suggested that you might want to do some research on Stachybotrys on the Internet or in Medical Books and Reports. You failed to mention either of these facts or statements in your reports. As you can surmise, we are quite upset with the Professional and Medical failures you have displayed in your reports. You paint an inaccurate and untrue picture of what actually happened. When you and Dr. Krishna can't even get the correct date of our visit, you leave us with a feeling of disbelieve in your Professionalism!
