Guest guest
I am at a dead end and need suggestions. My neighbors and I filed a class action lawsuit against our landlords for toxic mold exposure. Everyone here has been very ill and the 5 month old little girl that I was raising for a friend died in 2000 after living in this infested apartment for only 1 month and 21 days (ruled bronchial pneumonia). We have so much evidence against these people its crazy but we have one HUGE problem. We had the apartments tested by air quality experts. I talked to the owner of the lab. He tells me that we should have this case won, that they found Stachybotrys in several of the occupied units. But I cannot pick up the test results or use them in court until we have paid for them in full. The total cost (for testing about 12-14 units) is $4700.00. My question is, does anyone know of any organizations that would loan the money to me or anything. I Or any other possible suggestions would be appreciated. I can pay back as much as needed over time, just cant come up with that much in a lump sum. I would like to try to get this in court as soon as possible. As I am writing this, they have about 10-15 new tenants (most with small children) moving in to the apartments now and over the next few days. Before they can move in, the landlords are making them sign a statement saying that they agree there is no mold problem even though their very own experts say otherwise. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
