Guest guest
One more comment I needed to share on the Gerson therapy and those with MS or MS like symptoms. This comes from the book "The Gerson Therapy" by Charlotte Gerson and Dr. Morton : "The Gerson Therapy has obtained excellent results in cases of MS. With the proper nutrition and detoxification, the body is able to clear the damaged myelin sheaths, which insulate the nerves so that they can carry electrical messages to the brain and back. Clearing the "damaged" insulation may cause a temporary worsening of the symptoms, frightening the Gerson patient. However, if one persists and stays with the treatment, the body will restore and heal these sheaths, resulting in ultimate full recovery. Warning: MS is "assumed" to be an "auto-immune" disease. Namely, it is felt that the body's own immune system is destroying the myelin sheaths. With that assumption and with no other treatment choice, orthodox medicine often treats victims of MS with immune suppressants, such as cancer chemotherapy. After such treatments, the Gerson Therapy is not easily effective. Also, such patients are often treated for long periods of time with prednisone. This, too, holds back recovery by the Gerson therapy."
