Guest guest
-Marie I can't say that BI alone caused my GB problems, What I have read is that hysterectomies & being on HRT can contribute to GB disease. And almost all silicone BI women I've met, that had BI for any considerable amt of time, have had GB disease. Kind of reminds me of the chicken & the egg; which one came first. Did the BI contribute to my hysterectomy (age 31; no kids)? I'll never forget what my ob/gyn told me after she did the 2nd lapro to laser the endro just 9 months after the 1rst one: She was amazed how much more there was to laser in just 9 months. About 5 months after that, my uterus prolapsed. She said this was very uncommon in women who never had children. I am just very exhausted right now from maybe doing too much. Heard this was common after GB surgery. I just hope nothing else has to come out soon!
Guest guest
There was a previous post on the issue of hysterectomies and oophrectomies on the group. Here is a snip from it: " Studies by Cook in 1997 showed almost a 3-fold increase in hysterectomies and oopherectomies in implanted women. Dowís own research showed hormonal effects of silicone. The research from Tulane University published in June 1996 shocked the scientific community by proving that mild hormone-disrupting chemicals produce significantly dramatic hormonal effects when they were used in combinations. ( " Synergistic Activation of Estrogen Receptor with Combinations of Environmental Chemicals, " 272 Science 1489-1492 6/7/96). Combinations of two or three chemical compounds, which are commonly found in the environment at low levels, are up to 1600 times more powerful than any of the chemicals individually in their impact on hormones. Chemicals, which individually do not disrupt hormones, tremendously magnifies the ability of other chemicals to disrupt hormones. With silicone, what happens when compounds break down in the body and combine with other compounds, chemicals from foods and medications, or environmental sources? " This was written by a woman known as " Nurse Boone " . I don't think we will ever be able to definitively trace all of our ills to a specific point with implants, but I do believe that there is a cascade of disease processes that occur once we experience the initail impact and subsequent degeneration of our bodies from these bags of poison.
