I want to make it clear to all members of this site that we(Patty and I) and most all the members here will agree that saline implants are dangerous inferior devices and that we do not in any way shape or form endorse them here for any reason. It may be some people opinions that saline is safer than silicone, we do not make that distinction here because of what we on a personal level have been through, I for one was almost at deaths door and I only had saline implants, only 18 months. I was sick from almost the very beginning and I speak with women on a daily basis that are still sick from implants, only saline, not gel, so to say that saline are safe or safer is to me like saying one is the lesser of two evils, I don't agree with this.

As for thinking that reimplanting with saline is safe if you have trouble with gel, that is basically like telling me I wasn't sick, because I never replaced with anything again, I only had saline and was as sick as anyone, the only difference is that I am now 17 months post explant and I am almost completely recovered from that illness. To say that it would be safe for me to reimplant now, would be a very irresponsible thing, I doubt that I could have implants in my body and not have problems.

I also want to point out that our own member Phyllis, was one of those ladies who got sick from her gel implants and later reimplanted with saline(yeah the safer ones) only to get even sicker and eventually explant those. She is no longer here with us today, because she was so sickened by implants, that she ended up taking her own life with her husbands handgun. That is so sad and to think that she was one of the ones who was told that she would be ok with saline implants. It is a crime what has happened to these women.

I realize that of course everyone has the right to their own opinions and that implants are legal and everyone has the option to put in new ones every so often when they get old if that is what they chose to do, but I want to make the opinion of this site clear, again we don't believe that saline implants are safe, or are a safer option than gel implants, and that eventually the price will be paid for having them in your body. The trauma I experienced to my health, the trauma to my personal life, to my family and to my friends and all those around me who care for me, what I had to endure due to implants was a nightmare that I am just beginning to wake up from. The evil of what was done to me is unspeakable, and yes quite frankly it does make me angry. The thing about saline implants is that when you get sick from saline implants the doubt and the disbelieve you receive from Dr's and people in general is even worse than the gel women, you get asked if they are gel and when you say no everyone looks at you sideways, no way can saline do that. I mean us saline victims get treated even worse than the silicone women, if that is possible, because everyone seems to want to believe these implants are somehow safer? Why? They are still a foreign object placed in your body, they are still made of the same material and they most definitely do still illicit an immune response from us. I know cause I lived that whole thing, it was my life.

When I hear of women who were sick from gel implants say that saline are a safer option it hurts me allot, esp. knowing that was all I ever had.

Saline implants are still relatively new and the number of women with problems is on the rise, the biggest problem is that no one is tracking them, and no one is studying them( myself included) so how do we really know that there are not allot of problems with these women's health? It is too early to tell for sure and also many women are not connecting the symptoms to the saline implants, because everyone is too busy telling them these things are safe.

From talking to Dr Feng, Dr Kolb and Dr Blais and Dr Huang it is pretty apparent that there are lots of problems happening right now from saline implants.

It is sad that there are still so many misconceptions and so much misinformation being spread. I will never stop making sure that the truth is also getting out there and being told.
