It is hard to understand how they can be so coldhearted towards you...I mean, they are your parents whether they like it or not! Parents have a certain responsibility towards their children, none the least of which is to show love. <sigh> Well, there is no such thing as a perfect parent, right? But e, may I suggest to you that you have a loving Father in Heaven who longs to comfort you in all of your trials? I hope you turn to Him, because His hands are always outstretched in your direction. I used to go to Pantano Christian Church on Houghton and Old Spanish Trail. Pastor Tim Coops is wonderful. I hope someday you will consider going once just to see what it is like there. Anyway, about the scorpions, yes, we did get them in the house. I lived out on Old Spanish Trail in Rocking K, and in the 8 and a half years I lived there, we had scorpions inside the house only a few times. I did find one in my bedroom, but NOT in my BED! It was on the floor--could have stepped on it, I guess, but luckily my husband found it before I did. We had 4 kids in the house then, too, so I hope you find it a little comforting that the danger is not as big as you think it might be, because none of us ever got stung. Like I said, we only found them inside the house once or twice in 8 and a half years. Most of the time we found them outside the house, under rocks and stuff, (as well as tarantulas and black widow spiders--we even had a javelina and rattler in our backyard before!) so it isn't such a big deal. This is making me miss Tucson alot you know! I loved that desert, and we never suffered anything more than cactus pricks! By the way, I haven't seen any scorpions in Las Vegas since I moved here 3 years ago. Only Black widows. So, e, relax and enjoy that beautiful desert. I hope you will learn to love it there, despite the situation with your parents. Remember you do have a Father who loves you very much. And He will never forsake you, ever.
