Hi ,

Your emails are coming to me in Times Roman/10 point font --- so, if this is what you intended your font to be --- you have been successful!

This is from my friend and I thought I would share it with the group. Can everyone let me know if my font looks normal now? I changed it so I am hoping that did the trick. Apparently it looks normal to this guy though.

If you that are having the problems do the same thing that might also help.

I think I found it:

To change the font, style, and size of text

You can change the way the text looks for all your messages or you can make changes to selected text within a message.

To change the text style for all messages

On the Tools menu, click Options.

Click the Compose tab, and then click the Font Settings button.

To format text within individual messages

Select the text you want to format. (To change the font for an entire message, click the Edit menu, and then click Select All.)

On the formatting toolbar, click the buttons for the options you want.

Notes

If you have trouble formatting, make sure HTML formatting is turned on by clicking the Format menu in a new message window and then clicking Rich Text (HTML). A black dot appears by the command when it is selected.

When you use HTML formatting and the recipient's mail or news program does not read HTML, the message appears as plain text with an HTML file attached. The recipient can view the attached file by opening it in any Web browser.

Hi ,

Now, this message came as TimesRoman, 12-point font!

Is this what you are striving for? This is what I have nearly always used, and is the most accepted business font & size!

I posted a message on the board here about it, did you not see it? It was titled font size I do believe. Anyhow if not I will repost it, but it should be in your email. It is really simple, you just go up to options, compose, then click on the size font you want and then make sure to apply it and ok it. Does that make sense?

e,

Also the style font makes a difference too, some are smaller than others. I think times roman and Arial are the best.

Ok so you go to tools at the top of the screen, then options, then select compose. Under that is where the font size stuff is on my program. I have microsoft outlook express so if that is what you have it should work.

It does, I had no idea anyone used anything other than microsoft. That might be why you are having problems. I have no idea how that program works.

Sorry,

If it is the same as microsoft then the email should have the same type of options for the font somwhere in it.

I have never seen lotus and your probably right about it being more popular east of here cause like I said I never saw it in Ca or in Idaho or Utah.

Anyhow your font is better than before so it is readable for me now, it seems to be size 10.

Take care

Lotus is the exact same program as Microsoft, just a different name. My computer came with Lotus, and the reason is because my computer is an IBM Thinkpad, and IBM owns Lotus, so all IBM computers (at least computers made within the last 2-3 yrs) automatically have Lotus software installed.

It's actually very interesting because Lotus is not well known west of the Mississippi, but east of the Mississippi it is much more well known, esp in the NE, and many computers on the East coast are equipped with Lotus and not Microsoft.

Anyway, I don't like Lotus simply because I can't easily send attachments and most people can't open them. But I'm not going to change my software because it's probably too expensive. Plus I hate my computer, so somewhere down the road, I will probably purchase a new computer.
