Hi et. al. I don't think all aspects of plastic surgery are all bad. Good docs help us with deformities and things about our anatomy that we are displeased with. Are there dangerous and deceitful jerks out there? Yes, but some PS are good people and help many to improve the quality of their lives.

Had I gone to my current PS to begin with, I would have avoided this awful mess I'm in. I know the whole implant thing is bullshit and the informed consent is woefully inadequate, still, for someone to drone on about we should not have PS because it's dangerous (so is walking out of your home everyday). perhaps these anti PS folks did not have the deformities some of us have suffered so maybe they need to keep their smug holier than Thou attitudes in check. Nothing burns my ass worse that some near flawless person (with a slightly crooked nose) thumbing their nose at those who are less unfortunate looks-wise wishing to improve their looks. Fuck them. I do have respect for criticizing the system, but in it's entirety. Come on get real, do we want to throw the baby out with the bath water?

I can say this in all honesty that if it were not for current PS fixing my breast, I would have probably jumped off a cliff by now. It was hard for me to look in the mirror because or the horror I'd see staring back at me. This was a BAD doctor who did an awful injustice to me. HE is to blame NOT plastic surgery as a whole. I was pretty until this stuff happened to me and now thanks in large measure to my current doc, I look much better now and if that makes me vain or superficial for feeling this way--so be it. I know there are a lot a bad doctors out there, but I for one pride myself on my ability to be objective and not judge them all as one. I've been butchered and screwed really bad by two doctors (PS and oral surgeon), but made better by two others (facial PS and breast PS).

If that chick or whatever her name is in that article thinks she's too freaking good to stoop to having PS, what the hell does that make all of us here? Implants, I regret, my nose job is the cat's meow and it made me feel great to have it. What would this snotty PS's wife say about THAT? Funny, she doesn't like PS but sucks up the rewards of our money -- so what does that make her? A hypocrite.

I amnot sure which email that you are refering to here, but it must be something that was sent to me that I forwarded to the group. As for me, I am not at all against plastic surgery, in fact if I was not such a chicken shit I would get a tummy tuck tomorrow to get rid of the excess skin I have there. I think that implants are a big time scam and I think that like all Dr's out there , some are really great and some are really bad.

I am so grateful for Dr Feng and what she did for me, the amount of money was nothing for what she did to help me from the pain and suffering I was in and to help me feel whole again by giving me new little boobies. I agree with most of what you say here. While I don't think I would ever have any more plastic surgery, who knows what I might want to fix as I age. Yes I agree some of us are more blessed than others in the beauty department and some of us also may see our flaws more than others do too. I feel that plastic surgery is a good thing in many ways, and we need the options they provide, I also think that sometimes it can go too far pushing things like butt implants for example, but ya know, we all have choices too. I think that your emial was well written and I agree with what you said. I wish I new which email it was that this is referring too, it was probably something I forwarded on. Sometimes people get on this tangent about how we should be happy with ourselves the way we are or the way god made us, and while I think that would be an ideal world, lets face it, sometimes and for some people that is a little easier to do than for others.
