Guest guest
, I've been taking Arimidex for about 3 months now, and I feel no side effects. My Dr. studied it in the PDR and saw no problems for me, and so far so good. My E was up too high and is dropping now.
Guest guest
, I started 1 mg/dy Arimidex on Aug 2nd '01...have been on it continuously. My E baselines were estrogen 198 (40 -115) and estradiol 87 (<54)...after two months brought Es down to estrogen 85 and estradiol 37. First thing I noticed after several weeks was reduction in benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) piss urgency and frequent nocturnal pissing http://www.t-mag.com/articles/171estro.html http://hairloss-research.org/testosteroneBPH-Oct2001.html I reduced Arimidex dose to 1 mg/eod...within several weeks BPH symptoms returned...so I resumed 1 mg/dy. I began 10 G/dy AndroGel Nov 6th '01...below are results of lab work 29 and 96 dys after beginning AG. I think my Es were too low...so I have begun taking 1 mgArimidex for two dys and one day off...i'll be tested again in about five weeks to see how that regimen holds. Men do need some estrogen/estradiol and carrying levels too low can be as deliterious as too high levels. 12-5-01 - 29 dy 3-11-02 - 96 dy Tests Serum >>>>>>>> 750 704 (241- 827) %Free & Weak >>>>>>>>>>> 47.7 37.6 (18.3 - 62.3) F & W bound >>>>>>>>>>>> 357.7 264.7 (66.6 - 276.3) Estradiol >>>>> 50 16 (0-54) Estrogen >>>>>> 124 44 (40 - 115) If possible I would recommend that you have Es tested after couple months on Arimidex. I tried OTC ChryDim for ~8 mos and it was ineffective for me. Just my experiences... OR eon
Guest guest
I reason why I'm asking is that I started Anastrozole on 8/1 at 0.25mg EOD. My labs on 8/19 showed my E2 at 22pg/ml down from 48pg/ml on 5/20. However when I had a blood pressure test on 9/4 my BP was 164/87 vs 132/80 on 5/20. While I did add a few new herbs between 5/20 and 9/4 which I will eliminate, I thought that jump in BP could be from Anastrozole. I take the liquid Anastrozole from ChemOneResearch. I wanted to know if anyone else on this forum encountered the same BP increase problem. > > > > I was wondering if anyone who has used Anastrozole(arimidex) has > experienced high blood pressure....arimidex side effects ... > > As Phil pointed out, the listed side effects are generally when taken at > the higher dose for the specific purpose for women.
