Guest guest
Hi Fonna Marie, I probably should not answer this, and leave it to the experts... as I am in a foul mood anyway! But this is what I am doing. Celebrix for 3 months. I do not know if this is right or not, (could about guess it is not) but the LAST ONE (doctor) I went to Friday, told me to take double my Celebrix and gave me Elevil (don't understand why on this exactly), and for the severe pain to take as many Aspirin as necessary to stop pain. (they don't make that many aspirin!) Currently I take up to 20 aspirin a day, on a good day. He seemed to think it was alright though. I don't know if I will take the Celebrix again though, as it has not worked and makes me too sick. And I have not got the elevil filled yet because I don't quite understand what good this does for the pain. This is being given for OA , Fibromyalgia. Tests on other stuff should be back tomorrow. But am sure he is not going to change meds. He insists Celebrix works. " bow,wow Susie " (how is this for Susie, Sue, confusion, Rainey Sue!!!??? hope you do well) Donna Marie wrote: > Hi all. Guest guest
Hi Donna: My hubby Joe whose 31 has RA. He currently takes 8 Methotrexate pills once a week, folic acid every day, a multi vitamin, Vioxx (this is new in place of Relafen, but MHO is it doesnt do a bit of good for Joe) Prednisone (5mg tab's and he takes 1 in Am and 1 at night). He tried weaning off them by going to 1/2 tab at night but he feels worse and has to go back up to 1. I hope to chat with you again. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Donna Marie " <donnam26@...> < egroups> Sent: Sunday, August 06, 2000 6:08 PM Subject: [ ] Medications > Hi all. Guest guest
Oh what a shame Sue that your DR would insist Celebrex works. Everyone responds to meds differently. WOW thats alot of Aspirin you take. Your poor stomach I dont want you to take this wrong, but I think your DR a bit out of line to tell you all that. No wonder your feeling in a 'foul mood' today. God Bless you. Heres a BIG HUG {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{SUSAN}}}}}}}}}}}}} from me! Guest guest
Can anyone tell me why antibiotics make me so sick to my stomach? I am really questioning this treatment that I am on because I feel worse from it then from the damn H-Pylori, of course I have no other options at this time, almost a week into therapy but I must say I am really feeling sick all the time, it is gross, I am on the verge of throwing up everyday and it is really a drag, I can't deal well with this at all. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions they would be most appreciated, this really is awful.
Guest guest
I just finished this tx. I was told to take the meds w/food. I ate about half my meal then took the meds with water and then finished eating. It did not bother me too much this way. ----- Original Message ----- From: Heer Sent: Friday, May 17, 2002 10:47 AM Subject: Medications Can anyone tell me why antibiotics make me so sick to my stomach? Guest guest
Hi , You are one who has an intestinal track similar to mine. When I have to take any antibiotics, I also have to take a lot of acidolpholus and eat lots of non-fat yogurt. The anti-biotics quickly remove all of the 'good' bacteria from the intestinal track, and this is the fastest way to put it back. Although, there may be other remedies, this is the one that works the best for me, and others in my family. In fact, if I suspect I may have a condition 'coming on' that may require antibiotics, I begin taking the acidolpholus immediately --- to get a 'head start'!
