Hmm I don't see how water could hurt your teeth, I would say if anything lack of water would be more detrimental.

By the way I went to the dentist yesterday and I did pretty good for my mouth I only had one cavity and I need an old filling replaced so we are going to take the amalgam out and use a porcelain crown. I am seriously thinking about doing the porcelain overlays or veneers on my front teeth, this would protect them from continuing to decay as well since I have no enamel left on my teeth I think this is really pretty safe , but I am still not sure I will do it.

I also have a question to throw out. My parents' dentist told them that drinking bottled water can contribute to tooth decay because of the lack of fluoride as well as that bottled water causes erosion of the teeth. He is apparently involved in some study and the results are showing that drinking bottled water can be corrosive to the teeth, and this study has been going on for 3 yrs.

Of course my parents couldn't give me any more info, but I am seeing this dentist in early June, and he has a very good rep here in Tucson, and is known as a holistic dentist. I will ask him more, but I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about this? All I drink is purified bottled water, and I can't help but wonder if part of my tooth problems are related to this.

Hi ,I was wondering what your feelings were on using a flouride productto help protect teeth? The dentist office I go to, which is a mercury free office, recommended that I use a flouride rinse on my teeth to help preventfurther decay. As a holistic trained doctor, I am sure you have learned thatflouride is a potent carcinogen.I have never used a flouride product, except for what is intoothpaste, and I never allow my kids to get flouride rinses. But my last checkup with 5 cavities in 6 months has alarmed me. Whatdo you suggest? And what about calcium? Many of the women said their decay wascoming from inside out--is this an issue that we can address withcalcium supplements, or is there a more insidious calcium metabolismissue here from silicone? Dr. Pierre Blais said in the book "TornIllusions" that silicone disrupts calcium metabolism....has anybodyfigured out what the connection is here and how to fix it?Thanks--Patty
