Guest guest
, I too agree with your thoughts on textured implants. I was one to have developed fluid around one of mine! Layne
Guest guest
There is also a phenomenon called synovial metoplasia which occurs with all textured implants as well, I believe that they develop some type of serous fluid around them, Dr Feng told me they all have this, also yes they are way more irritating to the tissues. I wrote my implanting ps a letter not so long ago (because he only uses textured implants and feels they are superior at not causing cc) and he wrote back and told me that they are no worse than the smooth. Anyhow so much for making my point with him. I want to say though that those of us who have gotten ill from implants, in my opinion would not be any better off with the smooth version, we have many ladies on this site that have only had the smooth and are still having problems. I just feel that implants are not for me period, something to do with my body, I feel there are many of us like this, and I also feel that so many women are just so in love with their implants that they don't want to and will not admit they are having any problems with them, esp health problems, I have heard many women on pro implant sights that say they have this or that disease but they feel there is no connection to the implants. Of course it is hard to say. I firmly believe that the number of women harmed by implants is far larger than what we know or anyone knows about. Guest guest
: Dr. Demas at Dartmouth uses textured implants -- he claims that they're "perfectly safe." Yeah, right. -Marie
Guest guest
Keli, I noticed that you had your implants for only 11 months, and had fluid around them? Was there any infection with the fluid, and what did the Dr tell you? I too aquired fluid around my right breast, which I had no symptoms, except pressure pain from the fluid, and not to mention one cup size bigger! Talk about looking lopsided, OMG!!!!! hahaha... anyways, I am glad they are out now! Layne
Guest guest
Layne are you going to keep the implants out now that they are gone? How do you look without them are you happy with the look? I asume you didn't have a lift or anything. I am happy that you are done with implants. Good for you, I know you had some doubts at first but it seems you have become comfortable without them that is great. Hugs ----- Original Message ----- From: Laynie1434@...
