This is an atrocity!!! I live down here where this happened and it was a widely covered local story! I was very sad when I woke up and heard this on the radio as I was getting ready for work. I would like to know what action is going to be taken against the "Dr." who performed this surgery. Knowing the current state of afairs, probably none. I will write with anything further that I find out about this case. It brings to the forefront, again, the dangers of cosmetic surgery and the incompetence of the "Drs." who are "selling" it to us to do what is in the patient's best interest not what is in their wallet's best interest. I want to know why this woman was at home alone only 3 days after such invaisive surgery!!! She should have at least been in the hospital being monitored or something!! Very, very sad. Another unnecessary, untimely death at the hands of a plastic surgeon. When will it all end????

Love from Newport Beach, Ca. (plastic surgery capital of the west!)

Hi Lorri;

Sad fact is, I don't think it will end any time soon. Little by little patient's rights to litigate are being taken away. Doctors and their PACs have more power than lawyers these days and that is a big problem--for us as patients/comsumers.In many states, it's legal for non surgeons to operate on patients. Try to sue a PS (or a doc in general) and see how hard it is. I found out the hard way.....

I know of a lady that had the same Dr. as this and recently had to

have her second set of implants removed due to serious infection

(both surgeries within twelve months). She had no idea this surgeon

was not an M.D. What I have read she is looking into seeing an

attorney.

Hi Keli,

She surely should be looking for an attorney. Please let me know if we can

help in the Dallas - Ft. Worth area!

Sad thing is Martha, she is still paying off her first botched BA and

apparently her chest is a horror show! She is only 25 years old,

single and no children.. She ended up having her second lot of

implants removed at the ER on a weekend. :o( Tragic!
