Guest guest
I had Dow silicone BI in 1985. Had them for 16 yrs. Explanted May 2001. When I heard about the problems women were having, around 1992, I went to see my p/s. He assured me, that MOST of the women that were having problems were due to the fact they were put in by " non qualified doctors. " Talk about being " lied to " & feeling stupid NOW. When I read this article about the woman dying, it brought back memories of just HOW the media will report things. It would have been so easy for them to include in this clip about how sick women were from BI. But NO.The main focus was THE DOCTOR. Had I just had BI surgery & saw this, I wouldn't have given it a second thought. I would have thought.. " Oh it was the doctor's fault " , thus shifting everything I've heard about BI to the doctor. Granted, this WAS a case of complications due to surgery & people DO have complications. I'd like to see the media report on how many suffer & die just from complications due to the silicone itself. Can anyone else who's been in this & thru this relate to what I'm saying? Is this just being " all set up " & well orchestrated for women who will have & will have problems with the Saline BI in the future?
