Guest guest
I have been suffering from tons of abdominal pain too and most likely will need a scope too, versed is basically liquid valium, awesome drug. Yeah I could deal with it on versed, anyhow weird that we are both having these problems, I mostly have pain up high between my breastbone, I still think it could be an ulcer, but then again gall bladder is also a possibility. I guess I will find out more next week when I see my doc. Also have they done the hida scan test on you? That is a for sure way to see if your gall bladder is functioning or not, they told me I will need one of those to see if it is working, they inject an isotope type dye in you and then they can see if your gall bladder is working, if it isn't functioning properly it will cause pain and discomfort, the reason I think that mine is ulcer is the h-pylori and the fact that mine hurts when my stomach is empty which is classic ulcer symptoms, however, the gall bladder can still be at issue, mine has no stones, but it may just not be working right. Does your pain come mostly after eating ? Is it ever on the left side? Much of my pain is on the left side. My pain is bad at times, but not bad enough to go to the ER either, so I don't know. I want to know what it is though, so I can figure out what to do. I have tried the gall bladder flush but frankly that may not be helpful since I don't have any stones. I am sorry you are hurting, I know how much it sucks, I am trying to just cope right now, I am supposed to go to see my daughter in CA in 2 weeks from today, so I am bummed out that I am having yet another issue that may screw this trip up. I also don't want to have surgery unless they are 100% sure I need it, I mean not only scars but more surgery is allot to put my body through if it isn't the source of the problem ya know what I mean. Well girl I am glad that you have support from Lany and Bonnie, I mostly have just been trying to cope with this on myown, but naturally my husband is helping as usual with another issue, sometimes I feel like I am such a problem, he never seems to mind, still I wish I could be done with health issues! ARG! Well, keep me posted on things as I will you. hugs girl ----- Original Message ----- From: <shihtzusrock@...> < > Sent: Sunday, June 23, 2002 1:36 PM Subject: To : Scope test > , > > I have been having classic GB symptoms without the stones. Guest guest
Hi & Other Ladies, I wanted to comment on this gallbladder issue. As long as I've been in this BI issue, for nearly 10-long years now, I have heard of more gallbladder problems than the rest of my many years in the insurance industry. Among other things, I was a certified medical underwriter -- which means I was qualified to read medical records & interpret them accurately, for insurance purposes. In all thos 18 years, I never saw the incidence of gallbladder disease, in the general public, that even remotely compares to the incidence I hear about in the BI community. It's somewhat startling! However, the gallbladder is another somewhat 'fatty' organ that is very likely to accumulate silicone & saline residue eaisily -- similar to the liver, & even the brain. I have no studies or facts to back up my 'observation', however, it's highly suspicious, or perhaps I'm the only one who happens to hear about everyones 'gallbladder-type' symptoms! Ha!
