--congrats--everything lined up well and while you don't

feel it now, you will feel like a different person soon.

Yes, rheumatoid arthritis can be reversed--have a friend who has done it after switching to a naturopath. My own RF was

never too high @ 10, but has completely disappeared--I had very

little joint problem--hips were bad for a while and I'm not even

sure it was due to a rheumatoid problem. I don't know if anyone's antibodies disappeared quickly after explant--but

I do know that antibodies can disappear in time-kind of depends on

which ones, why you have them and you. Your immune system

can rear up and produce them but it may not be permanent. The

best thing in your favor, is removing the antigen that is producing

them. You are also very lucky that you are young--younger

systems rebound faster and better, generally speaking.

Have talked to many with thyroid disorders--usually Hoshimotos.

Get Dr. Mercola's newsletter--like his whole take on things--(except I

take supplements--a lot of them.)

As far as the legal end of it, it depends on the manufacturer of your

implants, when you got them, what you signed when you got them

.. . .and I'm not certain whether one can still use the Texas legal system-

-I seem to remember that there may be some restriction to that? In any

event, if you file it will likely be federal. Someone from Texas will undoubtedly comment and let you know. I think you may be referring to O'Quinn's

firm in County.

Best to you--won't be long now.

I've always thought it holds a key to the start

of autoimmunity and disease and am certainly

glad to hear a physician say the same. . .made

my day.

Girl I am one of the ones who did have an autoimmune disease that is better, and my labs are all normal now totally normal.

As far as my symptoms I am better, I have some aches and pains, these are ok, they can be a pain but they are easier to deal with than what I had before, and right now I am realy doing well, no brain fog in quite awhile now. It is a great feeling to be done with that.

I would like to say that i followed a bunch of natural healthy diets all the time, but in the begining after explant I was probably the most motivated to be healthy about food. Of course as I healed and got better like I am now I admit I cheat allot as far as diet goes. One thing I never ever forget to do is work out, I think that for me this has been instrumental in my healing progress and highly recomend it to you when you are able.

I too have been diagnosed with the low thyroid, and I take armour thyroid for it, so far so good, it seems to be helping, I am on a pretty low dose of it but I have great energy, and feel good.

I do believe that infection with pathonegens are related to our problems, I think it is really a complex issue but that we are able to get well over time with the right attitude and the right plan of action. You sound right on track with your action and that is good for you. I am also excited to have a Dr Kolb patient wow that will be exciting, I hope that you will consider sharing your after and before photos with us, either anonymously or whatever, I am anxious to see her work, and I hear good things about her too.

Well I gotta run to church now but I wanted you to know I am one who also had the autoimmune disease( not RA but I had the high ANA and was told I have undifferentiated mixed connective tissue disease)

well better go !

More later

Hugs

For all my Sisters out there, I finally have a date! I will be going to see Dr. Kolb on Sept 10th for a visit, and the 12th for explant. I am anvious to get them out. However I am very upset about the results of my tests taken by Dr. Mercola (as I am seeing him for a protocal eating plan to optimise wellness as I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis) I have been treated for my hypothyroidism, I am levled out, but as I speak, I am stumbling over letters to type, as this brain fog is so bad! I foung out today that I also have rhuematoid arthritis! 27 years old, and I have no family history of thyroid problems or auto immune diseases, always ate right, worked out every day,and here I am with 2 auto immune diseases! From these damned implants. My hands hurt so bad, as I type, they BURN. I know I should think positive, even Dr. Mercola told me that both of these auto immune disease can be reversable (esp. at my age) with the right diet and proper enviroment. And he actualy has a treatment based on the book "The Road Back" written by a doctor that I forgot his name. The theory is , that rhuematiod arthritis is caused by type of viral or bacterial virus that the body can't fight off. You are put on a no carb( except for veggies), no sugar diet, and treated with antibiotics for quite some time. I guess the results are amazing, and alot of people heal completley into remission. Interesting, isn't it, couldn't be that these implants filled with bacteria, staph, or fungas could be the "virus" triggering this? Make perfect sense to me according to their theory.. Anyone interested can go into www.mercola.com and type in Rhuematoid arthrits into search engine to see the program. Or anything else. He will also send out a free healthy newsletter to you if wanted. Very helpful! Also, I found a site on Dr. Lowe.com about how Hashimto's and thyroid problems are seen in 24% of implant women, where in normal women with out there is a only like a 2 or 4 % chance. Go to his topics on the bottom of his screen, and you will see "Does silicone implants cause Thyroid antibodies? Look at his answer, he says we can't ignore these numbers. And so much more. I sent in these studies to correlate with my blood results (over 18 pages) , and my insurance covered the removal & all other fees. Thank God! I know I am in good hands with Dr, Mercola, and he seems to firmly believe this is all reversable, but I am so tired of all this medical craziness! I told my husband, that I am so honking mad, I am going to get the word out to all women ,somehow that we are being lied to! Also, does anyone know, if after removal, has anyone seen their antibodies go down right away, has anyone had rheumatuiod arthritis, get better? Or Thyroid? Or any other disease? And who is a good lawyer to speak with regarding implant issues? I heard there is a good one in Texas, or am I remembering wrong? Let me know, you guys have all been a wonderful blessing and help to me!

Fasting decreases circulating immune complexes and I think it is an important part of the detox program. Many of my silicone patients have positive tests for mycoplasma and respond to the immune program and the antibiotic program. Many of their symptoms that resemble RA and scleroderma clear up but I am still not convinced that implants cause the typical lupus or RA. There are many features that are different. For example, none of my silicone patients with so called lupus have kidney involvement but most of my nonimplant patients with lupus do. I have yet to see the deforming form of RA with implants although swelling and joint pain are present. Swelling and joint pain aften resolve quickly after explantation if the proper immune therapeis are done.I think silicone and saline implants cause a unique disease that still needs to be studied for this holds the key to how autoimmune disease occurs. .

Hi ,

I am so glad to hear that your insurance is covering this for you. You've done some good research for it, and I am also very glad to hear that you have had a good experience with Dr. Mercola. I've gotten his email newsletter for quite awhile, and I respect his views very much.

About the rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis....when I first got blood work done after explant, it showed that I had an elevated rheumatoid factor. I never actually got a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, but I did have some joint pain. However, my stinky rheumatologist clearly wasn't interested in treating me, and just told me to go home and that I would eventually get better. It was that attitude that made me seek a naturopath, and one that was interested in being a team player with me in my healing effort (thank God for doctors like that). He put me on a fast right away, and I found that fasting cleared up my joint pain within days. I went on a regular fasting program, and I never had to deal with joint pain again. By regular, I mean that I fasted at various times for between one and 10 days, but fairly consistently in the first couple years after explant.

I don't know if that will help you, but you might want to look into it. I do think this is reversible as well, and my rheumatoid factor blood work bears it out. I went from a high of 159 down to 58 at last look about 1 and a half years ago. I don't worry about it anymore, but just keep trying to eat healthy and keep on detoxing. Detoxing is now a lifelong pursuit for me.

My last remaining symptom is the brain fog, and occasional tingling in my hands when I wake up. I think I am going to get that under control, however, thanks to some ideas from Bonnie, and the great example we have seen from and her fanaticism with exercise! I am convinced that exercise is my downfall, and I am going to try my hardest to rectify that. My goal now is to be dedicated to a regular intense exercise routine to get my blood pumping and strengthen my heart.

Hey, congratulations on your surgery date. It feels great to be on the final leg of this journey, doesn't it?

You're almost there, and I am sure you will be in good hands with Dr. Kolb. She'll be able to guide you in your healing and do the explant the way it needs to be done.

God bless! Hugs!

Patty

Dr. Kolb, I know you have said you have yet to see the typical form of RA with deformity in implanted women, but in your experience do the patients RA get better after explant alone? Or is it a mixture of detox, time, healing and nutrician? Do you also believe that RA can be reversable? I know that alot of women have joint pain and stiffness that resembles RA, and get better after explant. I just wanted to know for the ones that do test positive for RA, and have the disease now, if you have seen improvements after surgery. You are right, I don't have any deformity present in my hands and feet, but the swelling, stiffness, and pain is incredible. Also, have you seen improvement in thyroid antibodies go down as well ? Thanks,

I have never actually fasted but I have done the grape cure diet that someone in my husbands family told me about and it helped allot. I would like to do a fast but am afraid I would be too weak to work out and I just cannot go long without working out. What do you think about this? can someone fast and still exercise? Take into consideration that I am not able to walk far or run right now due to plantar fascitis. I am mostly swimming and now doing pilates and yoga, as well as allot of weight training. Would this be possible on a fast? How long of a fast would you recomend? I am not symptomatic but still would think a fast might be good for me, I really have been eating too much junk food lately.

Thanks for your answer and yes I agree it is so obvious that the disease that implants cause is much different that regular lupus or other auto diseases, I mean I am a perfect example of how it can all turn around after explant and that goes for the labs as well. My symptoms also never exactly matched one particular disease.

thank for your replies I appreciate your taking the time to post here and to answer our questions.

I would say that it took a good 6-8 months to feel a big improvement. I would say it took a year to be over the brain fog, but then it came back intermittently over the next few months, it is gone now for awhile, I feel almost like I forgot what it was like to be that way all the time, that to me was something I always wondered, would I ever be normal again, the answer is yes.

My aches and pains are still there at times, but sometimes I don't know that they are still even related to implants, I just don't know, it is not the same kind of pain I had and all the other weird stuff is gone for so long now. the feeling of being ill, spacey, shaky, anxious, all that is way gone, like for a year probably, it is a long process but it has been an amazing success story for me. I mean I am totally over this thing, I have aches and pain but I also have reason to believe that it could be related to several injuries I have, some discs in my lower back are also bulging and I have plantar fascitis in my feet from running . So being the kind of athletic person I am again, these don't get me down too much, I just do what I have to to get a work out it, such as swimming if my feet are hurting and water aerobics classes, now I am doing pilates/yoga and weight training on a consistent basis to help my osteopenia(bone thinning) I also have thyroid problems, but just the low thyroid that I have to take Armour thyroid for.

All in all I am a normal person, I work full time, work out 5-6 days a week, eat normal, and travel and have fun. I feel great most all the time, other than some aches and pains.

Hope that this helps, I am not yet 2 years post explant and it has probably only been within the last 2 months that I can honestly say I am over boob envy. I feel 100% sexy, happy and confident with my boobs again, in fact I am happier with my body than I ever have been in my entire life, and at 38 years old, I just think I keep looking better and better. I also know for sure that I don't even feel insecure anymore around the implant women that are around, the gym lately I have been taking swimming aerobic classes and the instructors all have fake boobs, personally I could care less anymore, and that is a big step for me cause I thought I would never get over that crap.

Anyhow that is where I am at today girl and it sounds like you will be here soon! I am so excited about your upcoming surgery. Please keep us updated ok?

Thanks

Hugs
