Bruising Painful bruises can be soothed with mullein oil. Use a few drops of the oil on the bruise and gently rub it into the skin. Witch hazel, daisy, marigold, and yarrow arnica are the herbs that can be used as compresses for bruises. The homeopathic remedy arnica (as a tincture) is also a good bruise remedy. If you bruise easily, you may want to consider increasing your vitamin C, preferably in the foods you eat.
