Guest guest
, If I can help you out in anyway, whether it be by phone or email, just let me know. You were there for me after my neck surgery, and that meant the world to me. I am here for you. I will be thinking about you on Tues, and I know that you will do just fine. If the surgeon does a lap chole, is it planned for you to go home that same day? e ----- Original Message ----- From: shihtzusrock@... Sent: Saturday, June 29, 2002 11:41 AM Subject: GB surgery Girls,I am scheduled for GB surgery this Tuesday at 11:30am. Please keep me inyour prayers. After having the Pipida Scan..(Yes I finally found out the correctname..LOL), it revealed my GB function is at less than 33% & I have ablocked biliary duct. The test took 2 1/2 hours & wasn't painful likelast year when they did it. After talking it over with the tech Sherry,we came to the conclusion that the tech who did it last year reallymessed up. Sherry said they have been doing it the same way for at least2 years & there's no way this test should eve make you feel like you'reburning up during the least 10 minutes. She said some people used tofeel extreme pain when the med karovac was administered, but theychanged the time frame for admn this med during the test. Talk aboutbeing scared!! I am going to investigate what the other tech DID lastyear. Thank God I kept a journal throughout this whole ordeal. The surgeon I'm seeing is easy to talk with too. He explained the wholeprocedure to me. Hopefully he'll be able to do the scope way instead ofthe big incision. He won't know til he's in there. One thing he saidthat I found would be of interest to anyone who may suspect GB. When apatient just has symptoms of nausea he will not remove the GB until justabout every stomach test is performed. GB can cause some nausea, butthat can be controlled by diet. When a patient complains of severe painnot associated with diet in this GB area & the referred pain areas, hestill does the stomach tests to rule out other possible causes. I hadalmost every one of those tests done 2x in the past 15 months. I cannotget any relief from this pain no matter what I eat. All along I thoughtnausea was the main GB symptom, so I was hesitant on the GB surgery. SoTuesday, I will have the surgery. After going thru this pain on aregular basis, getting worse daily, since June 15th, I think I'll beable to handle the actual surgery pain.I'll need your help girls during recovery to keep me company..LOLLove,
Guest guest
e Thank you for being here for me. I am scheduled to stay one nite for the scope. The surg said he won't know if he'll have to do the big incision until he's in there. That would mean a 3-5 day hospital stay. Being that the surg is scheduled for 11:30am, I can see why the overnite stay is needed. And also with me living alone, I will appreciate it. A friend is tkig my dog on Monday nite & will bring him home Thurday afternoon. Then on older retired neighbor, , will help us get around. I KNOW walking is very important after this surgery; but the pulling from the dog won't help. So will hold the leash & I can walk with them. Thanks for caring e. We'll have to catch up next week on the home situation..bugs, pain, anxiety attacks, men & all: Don't those 4 go together good??..LOL Love,
