Guest guest
I'll be glad too. I think I've heard of that test, but I don't know what they put in you. How long does it last? When did you say you are having it? Just finished a really long e-mail to someone I've been ignoring and I've got to go eat--I practically have the shakes. Sorry to cut this off. Talk to you tomorrow, OK? Bonnie

Guest guest
When I worked in CICU (open heart/cardiac ICU), I had a pt that was vented, was a multi-trauma pt, and was having gallbladder problems. I had to "daytrip" with her to nuclear medicine for this same type of test. I can't remember what the name of the test was, as I was more concerned about her cardiac rhythm and respiratory status, as resp therapy had left for a minute to get a new portable vent, and I was hand bagging her, and on top of that, she was having many PVC's in a row, which can lead to VT (ventricular tachycardia), which is a life-threatening arrthymia. I ended up slamming some drugs into her, and when she stabilized, they proceeded with the test. But all I remember is that it was in nuc med, I had to go behind a window and they injected some sort of dye into her via IV. The dye "illuminated" the gallbladder and other organs within 5" and the docs were able to get the pics they wanted, and I hurried her back to the unit. She ended up having her gallbladder removed, but never came back to the CICU and instead went to the SICU. But this test sounds like the same one she had done. e ----- Original Message ----- From: shihtzusrock@... Guest guest
, The fact that you know him from work though could work to your advantage. Because this doc knows you from the hospital, you will more than likely get "better" treatment. That's not a nice thing to say, because it implies that docs don't give good treatment to other people, but it's true. When they know you and know that they will be seeing you again in a professional setting, docs tend to work you up a little bit more thoroughly, and be more honest with you, as well as listen to you differently than they would otherwise. Let me know how it goes, you too ! e ----- Original Message ----- From: Heer Sent: Monday, June 24, 2002 8:56 PM Subject: Re: GB Test Good luck tomorrow , I go see my Dr tomorrow too, I am sure he will beordering many tests, also he is someone I know from work, so while it isgood cause he is the best around here, it is uncomfortable cause I know himfrom work, make sense?hugs girl----- Original Message -----From: <shihtzusrock@...>< >Sent: Monday, June 24, 2002 8:47 PMSubject: GB Test> Bonnie,>> I spoke with the nurse tonite and the name of the test I'm having for> this is a Dipida test.
