Guest guest
I have read this as well, but I think what is autoimmune about it has more to do with the way your body reacts to the bacteria itself. I posted some info on it that I though was interesting. I know some docs think it is an autoimmune disease, others disagree. Once again, another issue that will be debated indefinately. I find it interesting, though, that both yours and my ANA was so high at one point, and now it's negative. You would almost have to link it to the implants..... I know that my neurosurgeon was baffled that I could be dx'd with lupus for 4 yrs, and then, suddenly, my ANA is negative. My rheumy in Denver said that I had a "false positive," which was caused by the implants. I will also be interested to see if the monoclonal gammopathy I have will eventually go away. Very interesting..... e ----- Original Message ----- From: Dr. Kolb Sent: Monday, May 13, 2002 7:40 PM Subject: RE: Labs and new info on my health I think that the chronic infection causes problems with the immune system and therefore the ANA is abnormal. The H pylori may be related to the immune defect as well. Many women have low thyroid function and antithyroidglobulin antibodies. . -----Original Message-----From: Heer [mailto:idagirl@...]Sent: Monday, May 13, 2002 6:17 PM Subject: Labs and new info on my health Hi everyone, As I suspected my ANA titers are all normal again, I knew they would be as I have said all my symptoms have really started disappearing witting the last few months, slowly but surely, I once had an ANA titer that was 1:640 which is really pretty high and indicated autoimmune disease, it was 1:80 4 months ago, now it is normal YA HOO. On the flip side I found out I have H-Pylori YUCK no wonder I was having lots of digestive problems, and pain, well I have to take tetracycline and flagyl for this, not too happy bout that but gotta do what I must to wipe it out, I guess you can get it from bad food, not sure but I got it somewhere, the other interesting thing is apparently my thyroid is way LOW and so I am starting armour thyroid, I have a script to get it prn so i don't have to worry bout running out, seems like maybe once these issues are taken care of I can finally be back to my healthy self. If anyone can give me some info on the H-Pylori and the low thryoid etc I would love to hear about it, Dr Kolb esp, and also what do you think about the ANA had to be the implants I would say. I am bummed that I have to stay out of the sun now though, finally it is nice here and I am stuck without being able to sun for awhile due to the tetracycline, also I guess the thryroid is probably why I had the slight weight gain, but why the insominia I don't know, well getting better for sure but have some issues left, I wonder if any of this is still related to implants? ANy ideas would be appreciated. Love
Guest guest
Lani I posted some info on H Pylori so that the group can get familiar with what I suspect may be another issue we with implants may have. Love ----- Original Message ----- From: Lani Sent: Monday, May 13, 2002 8:20 PM Subject: RE: Labs and new info on my health Hi , I agree with u , is there anything You can take to help with chronic infection ? What is H pylori? MY rhemy told me my ANA is off the charts and told me I had (not sure on spelling) Hasitomositis. I feel like my thyroid has slowed down so much. lani -------Original Message------- From: Date: Monday, May 13, 2002 9:41:07 PM Subject: RE: Labs and new info on my health I think that the chronic infection causes problems with the immune system and therefore the ANA is abnormal.
