Hi Deb, in GA. I had bilateral fibrocystic disease in both breast

and had multiple needle biopsies leading to recommendations over 10 yrs for

a mammoplasy to remove as much of my breast tissue as possible. Thus I now

have implants (saline) since mid 80s. I did not experience any real

uncomfortable pain with the procedure. I know i was not sedated, probably

and a freeze type desensitizer used to numb the area. The worst thing for

me as I recall was seeing the size of the needle and the size of the vial

full of the fluid. And this was all in the 70s and 80s. The procedure may

be more sophisticated now. I had what they said was every type of

precancerous cell and so many knots in my breast, and very huge sagging

breast with a lot of neck and back pain leading to the mammoplasty. Not

sure I would have gone that route at all knowing what i do today. But then,

I was much less enlightened. Wish you well. I think there are dietary

things to help with fibrocystic disease...avoiding caffeine, etc. And there

are probably foods that would help improve the condition. Ask our troops

and they'll have feedback on natural foods, etc. that might help. God

speed. Eve

Thank you Eve for the reply. And I figured I better take a pair of

blinders in there when they are doing it. I can handle the pain but

Looking at the needle is another thing. Thanks for the kind thoughts

and the suggestion of the diet, I have done lots of research on so

many things since I became sick. At least Im smarter.. hahaha Take

care and Thanks again...

Thanks Martha

and you are so right.. if I don't do it the outcome is worse than the

aspiration needle. I am scheduled to have the aspiration done on

Monday. I wish he could deflate this breast the size the right one is

that had the implant. But as my Mother say's " You better watch out for

what you pray for " ) No Kidding.. Ok I don't wish that. Hey the good

thing is that the surgeon is a Hunka Hunka Man, so I can watch him and

not the needle. Thank you again for everything you do Martha, on this

memorial day weekend.. I am remembering you also for all your kindness

and help to all the women who have been effected by silicone implants.

You are a God send Martha.... God Bless you Always, Forever and a Day!
