Guest guest
--do the European juice fast which indicates a rest every afternoon--does not speak of exercise. The object of fasting is to rid your body of "things that don't belong there"--even things that are growing there. I believe it's after the 3rd day that the body starts feeding on it's own stores of fat, etc. The various veggie and fruit juices are to sustain energy; I don't think one wants to exercise while fasting. . . maybe someone else can contribute to this. . .someone who does a different kind of fasting. I'd bet the library would have the particulars on this juice fast--is in an old book by Paavo Airola, called How to Get Well I was recently reminded that one who exercises, especially strenuously, needs more than the average (ounces = to 1/2 body weight) amount of water. Also, that we need more water in the winter! Bonnie
Guest guest
: It's only a guess but I would not be overly active while fasting. A nice brisk walk or a swim might be good. LM

Guest guest
Walks are suggested, but no intense exercise. I know from experience how you feel, and trust me, you will not have the energy to sustain an intense exercise program after 3 days of fasting. Guest guest
Well honestly I feel so good right now I just don't see the reason to do a fast at this time, but it is good to know. Walking is hard right now, I just bought several new pair of shoes though, that are really nice, some naturalizers, some borns and some merrills, they are great for foot problems. My foot Dr is convinced my foot problems are simply from the plantar fascitis, and since it seems that I agravated it with bad shoes and running I agree with that right now. I am taking a new cox inhibitor, called bextra. ----- Original Message ----- From: ~*Patty*~ Sent: Monday, August 05, 2002 4:20 PM Subject: Re: Master Cleanse directions Walks are suggested, but no intense exercise. Guest guest
Thanks Bonnie, Lucky for me I am great about drinking water so that is no problem. As I said I really am feeling so good that I don't think I want to bother with fasting right now, esp since I am enjoying my working out way too much to stop right now, but I may try it in the winter when it is colder here and snowing ha then exercise is always more of a challenge! Guest guest
Great, good for you ! I am also able to live a normal schedule on a 3 or more day water only fast. I once went camping while on a 10 day fast. , with the way you work out though, I don't think you would be able to maintain the same level of intensity--you must burn a ton of calories!
