Guest guest
Hi Layne and welcome to the site. We are happy you found us also. Now as far as this fluid goes, Keli who is a member and was recently explanted said that they found fluid behind her implant when they removed them, maybe she can tell you more about this, but one thing I can tell you about is that if you are having problems now, they are probably going to continue and you may need to get the implants out to be healthy again. Is this your only problem? It does sound serious, are you seeing someone about it? What have they told you to do? It could be a seroma, although it is my understanding that this would happen immediately or within the first few days/weeks of surgery, not 5 years out. I don't know, I guess with implants I have learned anything is possible even when we are told it isn't. I am curious if you are having any other health related problems that you may be able to attribute to the implants. How do you feel about them? Are you considering removal? Please let us know and I highly recomend that you get to a Dr asap as this could really be serious and cause damage to your tissue and your health. please keep us informed. Guest guest
Martha, Thank you for the advice. Im really scared about this, and yes, I am seing a Dr on Monday for this problem. From research that I have been doing, it seems that it's possible that it is a seroma... Thanks for the concern. I will keep you all in touch! Guest guest
, I have done alot of research on my problem, and have come to think I have a seroma. I am going to a Dr, on Monday to confirm this. I don't have any other problems as far as this. It may be do to the type of work I do, maybe I have pulled, or tore something which is causing the seroma. Not sure, but Iwill find out. I don't have any pain from it, except for pressure pain. Layne
Guest guest
Hi Layne I also had fluid in between my implants and capsules, which was discovered upon removal. I am VERY interested in what your Dr. has to say and am beginning to think that this is more common than we originally thought. Possibly some surgeons don't think it's of importance and don't really document when it's found. If you decide to keep your implants and have the fluid drained (or even if you remove them)....PLEASE make sure your doctor does a full investigation into this fluid and see what it is. I had tenderness one side in the breast tissue which I believe was inflammed....possibly the fluid had some part in this. Please keep us updated! I'm extremely interested, please feel free to e-mail me at any time. Kind Regards, Keli. keli72@... > , > > I have done alot of research on my problem, and have come to think I have a > seroma. Guest guest
It would seem really strange to develop a seroma five years after surgery. Seroma is usually related to trauma such as surgery, unless you injured your breast somehow I don't see how you could get a seroma but then again I guess anything is possible. It seems it is just one more bad thing that comes with implants, such a shame. I am so glad not to have to deal with them anymore. I hope you find out what it is and that you will be ok. Remember that Dr's don't like to admit implants can cause any problems at all. Good luck and please keep us posted, we are all very interested in knowing more about this. ----- Original Message ----- From: Laynie1434@...
