Hello to All

Just thought I would drop in and tell everyone that I am feeling

pretty good after my explant on Tuesday.

I have a bit of tenderness on the sides (seems this is a sore spot

for alot of unders?) and the creases are a little sore but apart from

that I'm okay (so far, so good).

I had drains in for the first 24 hours but didn't have much drainage

so my surgeon removed them before I went home. I am wearing some

support bandages and also a sports bra. Had three lots of anti-

biotics via drip over 24 hours and then just on paracetamol (every

other pain med makes me ill too), the panadol is doing a fine job

which is great.

Apparently I had some fluid either between my capsule and implant or

between my capsule and breast tissue (not sure which, I was a little

out of it when my surgeon told me so will ask again on Monday at my

post op appointment) my surgeon took some for testing and will let me

know what it is. Has anybody else heard of this? VERY curious about

it. My capsule was EXTREMELY thin and quite a problem to remove from

my muscle area so some was left behind as we agreed prior to surgery,

I was worried about losing breast tissue or muscle and as I was not

symptomatic this is okay with me.

I am so far an A cup, not sure whether I will end up larger or not as

I feel I have quite a bit of swelling. Will let you all know more

when I find out myself.

-Marie, how are you doing after your lift? I can't find anything

much about it.

Keli.
