Not to my knowledge. Most legumes are high in protein, but depending on how their freshness, such as type storage, condition when harvested; they may have fungus develop. As the foods ages and is exposed to moisture and heat with deterioration, yeast develops creating fungus that affects the blood system and/or gut when ingested. This is also true for grain products, whether whole wheat or enriched products: biscuits, flour, corn, cornmeal, etc. if not harvested in healthy condition and stored before spoilage begins. The yeast needs sugar to grow and all foods we eat that are or become sugar keep the cycle going and worsening. Obtain a copy of the book: The Fungus Link by Doug Kaufmann, a nutrition specialist in TX. Call 972-772-0990 to order. Approx. cost is $35 inc. S & H. According the DK and/or Dr. Mercola (www.mercola.com), the worst fungal infections are best treated with diflucan for systemic (blood) and nystatin for gastro-intestinal (gut) fungal infections. Look for DKs daily tv show "Your Health" where he discusses fungus and nutrition and diet in relation to illness in-

clouding cancer. Look for the show on local channels or educational/public stations as opposed to major networks and more popular channels. You can find "Your Health" on the internet through www.FamilyNetTV.com . Hang in there. in GA

Subject: Hi Protein diets

Basically it seems that the yeast free type diets are nothing more than a high protein type diet am I correct in this assumption?
