Guest guest
I hope the explanted woman who is doing the Fox show reads the Glamour article and identifies with the reasons. . . she can use some of the same phraseology. It was an extraordinaily well-written article essentially about the beginning of a woman's enlightenment. . . I'm not real trusting of Fox as it is so very conservative. . . apparently one has to be very careful about what he/she says on a TV show. A ton of people do watch Fox so if there is anything the public relations firms want to get across to the public, this is a good place to do it. Those of us who have been involved in the silicone publicity remember well the FRONTLINE TV show that involved a lot of cutting of important statements made by anti-implant persons/physicians. In fact, as I recall, the host ( Stossel) made some downright lies. . .this was publicity designed for public opinion and it worked bigtime. (It seems the show focused heavily on negativity toward Bernard Patten at Baylor, as he had studied and seen so many affected women) All of a sudden there seems to be a renewed interest in implants. . .Fox, an article in the Washington Post and a study at NIEHS. . and these are just the ones I've heard of. . .this may be positive, but my new suspicious mind always takes me in the other direction now. Especially, since 1)the Dow appeal decision is eminent and 2)because the plastic surgeons are making a ibg move toward getting silicone implants back full-time 3) papers have been written by plastic surgery to indicate an unstability of explanted women. . . I guess all in all, what I'm trying to say is to "be careful" as it could be that the "big guys" are at work and we women, as usual, can be used for whatever purposes they have in mind. . .they've been doing it successfully for over ten years now. Guest guest
Bonnie: Actually Tracey is one of the most wonderful women I have met through the internet who got her implants out for one reason, she hated them, she is the perfect person to do this interview because she is in Southern California and she had a really good story too, if you are interested in it I have it here and it is also on www.explantation.com she has pics on this site too, she came out great, her PS was Dr Feng, she was one of the ones who recommend I go to Ohio, and though she never got ill she had CC come back twice and kept replacing cause the PS's all told her how unhappy she would be without implants, she down sized to a 190cc implant and still hated them so she finally got them out for good and had a really nice lift done and is so happy now. She will do a good job I think. She has read the glamour article but even if she hadn't her reasons are so well articulated in her story that she doesn't need to read that article to be a good representative of this issue at all. I suggest you check her story out, it is a good one. She has actually told me that with therapy and allot of help she has been able to come to terms with the reasons she needed the implants in the first place. She really does have her shit together so I think it would be a great interview, while I have some doubts about fox too, I think she would do a fine job. Anyhow I will ask her to let us know how it goes, she usually is so busy with the other site that she doesn't get on here too much but I will def ask her to let us know about things.
