Guest guest
Well, I had my second phone interview with a hospital in Denver. My first was yesterday with the nurse educator, then today with the PACU (recovery room) manager. She offered me the job!! I told her that I couldn't feasibly be back there and ready to work until at least Oct. She was cool with that. She said that she'd probably even hold the position until Nov if necessary. They will provide $2500 relocation assistance, although I have to pay for everything up front. Then they will give me a $5000 bonus. So, it looks like I'm going back to Denver!!!! I couldn't be more happy! Now, I have to start looking for an apt in Denver and start saving up money for the move back there. I will feel so much better being back in Denver since all my docs are there, and God knows they are tons better than the freak doctors in this town! Of course, my mom had to throw in a snide comment: "you know, e, your father and I spent $1000 to come up to Denver and take you back to Tucson. The least you can do is stay a while to make it worth our while." That's my parents for you. Once again, when I get back to Denver, I am cutting all ties with them. My sister is leaving for Austin, TX next wk, and she hasn't been here but 9 months, and they aren't making nasty comments to her, and they also helped move her out here from Boston! By the time I leave Tucson, I will have been here 7 or 8 months. God, I hate them!!! I had an integrative massage done tonight. She described it as deep tissue, trigger point release, neuromuscular, and rolfing. It sure did hurt, but she said that it would because I have so many toxins built up in my muscles. She said tomorrow that I would hurt, but to use ice. I go back in a wk to continue the treatment. The one concern I had is that when she was working on my anterior, posterior, and lateral neck, I had severe numbness in my arms. But I sure felt loose and relaxed afterwards! I'm also having some new neurological problems. About 2 wks ago, I started dropping things constantly. Or I'd pick something up, and have a hard time holding onto it. Then I would be involved in conversations and would know what I want to say, but couldn't form the words. I would stutter a lot and fumble for words. My mom is actually the one who brought it to my attn, although I was aware of it. These are the same symptoms I had when I had my stroke. I hope to god that I haven't had another stroke. I'm waiting to hear back from my neurosurgeon to see what he wants me to do. Anyway, as usual, my life is never boring. Always something going on. But hopefully this move to Denver will be my last ever, because I intend to stay in Denver for the rest of my life!!!!! e
