Guest guest
Keep Your Mind Young Leading an active life may help keep your mind healthy. In a study of 732 elderly adults published in the June 15, 2002 issue of the American Journal of Epidemiology, researchers report that regularly participating in mental, social, or productive activities seemed to cut the risk of developing dementia by more than 40% over the six-year study period. These activities included reading, drawing, solving crossword puzzles, playing cards, going to concerts, gardening, cooking, volunteer work, and so on. They also found that participants who reported getting daily exercise cut their risk of developing dementia almost in half. No matter what your age, stay active both mentally and physically.- M.
