Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am having email trouble, so I am using the email for the first time. I hope this works. Has anyone else tried these calcium chews and been impressed? I have been taking them and find they are an incredibly easy and cheap source of calcium. While they are not the optimum way to get the calcium because they are encased in chocolate and sugar or high fructose corn syrup, I find that getting calcium this way is better than not getting calcium at all. I was diagnosed with osteopenia in May, but haven't done anything really proactive since then to rectify it. I find calcium supplements in pill form give me brain fog. But with these calcium chews, I can easily get 1000-1500 mg a day! Piece of cake. There is only one caution I would give you guys when buying this product, and that is to read your labels. AVOID the ones that are made with hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils! These include the orange cream ones and the carmel flavor. Also some of the generic labels, like at WalMart (Spring Valley label) and Target are to be avoided--they contain the nasty hydrogenated oils. The cheapest ones I found so far were at KMart--it is in a canister that looks just like Viactiv, but they are just called " Calcium Chews " , sitting right next to the name brand. They were only $4.99 a box, compared to $6.75 for the Viactiv brand. These also have no partially hydrogenated oils. Long's Drugs also has these " Calcium Chews " , same canister, for $5.99. Thanks to J for suggesting these! Patty __________________________________________________
