First of all I am so glad that you are feeling better after you explant that is great, second of all would love to see your before and after pics big time. Can you send them to Patty via mail and she could post them for you? That was what I did because my scanner is broken, that would be good. She will scan and post them for you and return them to you. You can totally trust her and we are all so anxious to see some of Dr Kolbs work too. Please contact Patty on this group or I can contact her for you. Let me know and again congrats! ----- Original Message ----- From: <CrystalRDH@...> < > Sent: Tuesday, August 27, 2002 6:13 PM Subject: Recently explanted by Dr. Kolb > Hi, My name is Crystal and I have been reading the posts on this site for > awhile now. Guest guest
Hi Crystal, Thanks for sharing with us your experiences with Dr. Kolb. As pointed out, I do have a scanner and can post these pictures for you. If you are not comfortable with mailing them to me, you always have the option of taking your pictures to a friend who has a scanner and putting the pics on a floppy disk, then uploading the file to the group yourself. It is not difficult. Just let me know if you need assistance. As we currently have no pictures from a patient of Dr. Kolb's, yours would be welcome. Thanks again for letting us know of your excellent outcome and your healing experience. I wish for you continued progress till good as new! Guest guest
Patty, Could you email me privately with an address of where to send them? I will get them out in the mail tomorrow or Sat. Also, had my mercury fillings removed by Dr. Swidler on Mon. I was impressed. He did fill them (and my new cavities) with a product that he discovered and is researching. I had to sign a consent, and he told me that he wouldn't use it if I didn't want to. It is called EMX (rice bran). In his consent, he states that it has the possible benefits of calming and soothing and that in over 140 peer reviewed scientific articles, they show that rice bran has ingredients which "suggests effects which include but are not limited to: immunoregulatory enhancement anti-inflammatory antioxidant nerve and capillary regeneration wound healing natual antibacterial/antiviral activity free radical scavenging I thought it was pretty interesting, so I agreed to let him use it. He said that he's using it the majority of the time to fill cavities now. We'll see what happens. Hopefully, 10 yrs down the road, they won't be saying that rice bran is detrimental to your health!! e ----- Original Message ----- From: ~*Patty*~ Sent: Wednesday, August 28, 2002 9:38 PM Subject: Re: Recently explanted by Dr. Kolb No problem, e, I did this for . Guest guest
Hi , I had the drains for eight days. They weren't painful, just annoying and kinda gross. My poor sister gagged everytime she had to empty them. I actually put socks over them so we didn't have to look at them. I called them my holsters! I think you will be pleased with Dr. Kolb. All of her staff is very accomodating and helpful. I prepaid for a mastopexy and Dr. Kolb sat me up during surgery and decided I didn't really need one. I hope you surgery goes well. I'm sure you will feel MUCH better. Please let me know if you need any assistance while you are here. I work down the street from Dr. Kolb's office. Are you following the immune protocol? I think that is why I recovered so quickly. I plan to continue for at least several months or until I can no longer afford it! I never knew these implants were going to cost so much in the long run. Take care. Crystal
Guest guest
Congrats on your teeth, did you have to pay cash for this, I am curious as I have never found a dentist that would use anything but the porcelain and composite resin that would take insurance for it. Unfortunately for me I have a filling or cap on each tooth in my mouth so no one is going to pay for me to replace all that metal and stuff. ----- Original Message ----- From: e Rene Sent: Thursday, August 29, 2002 1:42 PM Subject: Re: Recently explanted by Dr. Kolb Patty, Could you email me privately with an address of where to send them? Guest guest
Hi e, I am glad to hear you like Dr. Swidler. He does good work. Interesting stuff about the rice bran. I can't see where anything would go wrong with it, as it is a plant product, a fiber, but who knows with this experimental stuff! I'll write you privately with my address. Guest guest
, I did have to pay up front for the dental work, as this particular dentist does not accept assignment. I should be reimbursed by my insr company, as he doesn't bill it to the insr company as "experimental" or "new." Insr won't pay for the mercury removal, and obviously won't pay for the teeth having the mercury removed to be filled. So, while I did have to pay for a mercury removal fee, he did not tell the insr company he was removing mercury. He just sent it in as new fillings. So, I had 3 mercury fillings removed, and then filled with this EMX stuff, and then 2 new cavities filled with it as well. Total cost----$901. My insr is supposed to pay 80%, but we'll see. They also determine what is "usual and customary" and I found out when I had my routine cleaning 4 wks ago that they considered his fee ($130) above usual and customary (I didn't think his fee was bad). Needless to say, even though a routine cleaning is supposed to be covered at 100%, they only paid $99, which they considered 100% of usual and customary, and I ate $31. This is the first time I've ever had to pay up front for dental services, as my dentist in Denver did accept assignment. As for the porcelain and composite resin, I just finished last wk a very interesting book about modern dentistry. It talks about mercury fillings, health problems, and the other fillings being used, pros and cons. If you ever are interested, it's called "Elements Of Danger: The Hazards Of Modern Dentistry." It is by Morton , DPM. I ordered my copy off Amazon.com for $8 (used). It is VERY interesting. e ----- Original Message ----- From: Heer Sent: Friday, August 30, 2002 6:42 AM Subject: Re: Recently explanted by Dr. Kolb Congrats on your teeth, did you have to pay cash for this, I am curious as I have never found a dentist that would use anything but the porcelain and composite resin that would take insurance for it.
