Guest guest
Hi, My name is Crystal and I have been reading the posts on this site for awhile now. I was recently explanted on Aug. 2 by Dr. Kolb and I just wanted to share my experience to anyone awaiting explantation. First, I want to say that Dr. Kolb is an absolute God-send! She did a fantastic job on me. My outcome far exceeded my expectations. I wasn't that concerned with the aesthetic results, as I just wanted to regain my health but I am so pleased! My breasts look great and I am feeling terrific! The very day they were removed, I felt a clarity in my head that I had not felt in quite some time. I am feeling better every day and I feel like a new person, both mentally and physically. I had Mentor textured saline filled implants since Aug. 1994. I had various health problems including severe allergic responses to things I had never been allergic to before. I took Allegra every single day for the last three years to combat chronic hives. I have not taken it since the day before my surgery and I have not had hives and my sinus troubles have significantly improved in addition to my sensitivities to chemicals, perfumes, etc. I followed Dr. Kolb's silicone immune protocol and also followed the yeast connection diet eliminating all forms of sugar from my diet. I took Diflucan before surgery and am now taking Nystatin. (I also had the added bonus of losing 16lbs. in the last 3 mths.) I continue to take supplements and I am still following the diet but not as stringent as I was before surgery. The only complication I suffered after surgery was low RBC's and anemia due to the heavy blood loss during surgery. Dr. Kolb said my implants were extremely imbedded in my chest wall and very difficult to remove. I also want to mention that I live in Atlanta and I work only a minute away from Dr. Kolb's office. I am willing to assist anyone coming to Atlanta for explantation in any way that I am able. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions, etc. I would like to post my pre and post-op photos. Dr. Kolb did not perform a mastopexy and I thought those using her for explantation would like to see her work. I don't have a scanner or camera so I don't know how I can post them. Please send me info on how I can get them posted. Thanks for listening. This site has been a tremendous support for me the last few weeks. God Bless You All.
