Well, there is a HUGE difference. Dr. Kolb tells you the risks- there is

Informed Consent. She lets you know what to look for so that if you become

ill, you know to consider the implants. This is a view into how she does

things. Those who keep the risks hidden are being deceptive, and you have

now, unknowingly, put your health in the hands of someone that is too busy

worrying about concealing the dangers, and covering up if there are problems,

than being upfront and letting you make an informed decision or helping you

if you beocome ill.

This decision must be based on accurate information and full disclosure.

Very few docs give full disclosure (and I don't mean putting the risks in

tiny print on a consent form- I mean really talking with you about them)

because most women wouldn't take those risks for the limited aesthetic

benefit that they could gain.

Be sure to chose a doc who will help you if there are problems or you become

sick. Specifically, what is their aftercare program? Do they just refer the

woman out? Or do they help. They sold you the product, you paid good money

for it, but few help when there are problems. Dr. Kolb candidly discusses

implants, and ways to get better if for some reason you cant tolerate them.

There is just nothing shady about her, and that is why so many women just

love her, but more importantly they trust her, and rightfully so.

Lastly, human nature is to think that we are somehow different from the

unknown people who are having problems- we come up with anything to

distinguish them from ourselves- their surgeon was bad, or they didn't

folllow all of the aftercare instructions, ect, but I will do it differently,

go with the best surgeon, etc. Look, most of us thought the same thing until

it happended to us. No matter what you decide, if you do do it, just a doc

you can trust and who will be there just in case there are problems. Good

luck to you.
