Hi ,

I received your letter this morning from Ilena, and I will try to help answer some of your questions. You have good reason to be concerned.

I am going to make the assumption that you are in Georgia, since you mentioned Savannah GA, and if this is correct, you have access to a very knowledgeable plastic surgeon, who understands the importance of removing implants that are leaking. Dr. Kolb is in Atlanta, and her website is www.plastikos.com. She is a member of our support group and has helped hundreds of women through this difficult ordeal.

There is much information available on the Internet about leaking silicone implants, but you may feel better talking with other women who have experienced this. Our support group at /

was created so that women who are having problems with their implants can discuss what roads they need to take to deal with them. I hope you will join us. Even though most of the women have had saline implants, there are very helpful women on our group who have had leaking silicone gel implants, and would be very willing to help you. Dr. Kolb is one of those women. There are also many files available there, including links to other websites, and studies of the harm done by silicone in the body.

The legal issue is a long and convoluted one, that I personally cannot help you with, but there are other women who have knowledge about this--they will know what you need to do to get help. At this point, I think your first and foremost concern should be to get those leaking implants removed.

Do you have any other health issues, such as chronic fatigue, or fibromyalgia (diffuse pain)? Any aching joints, hair loss, or other nagging complaints?

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. God bless you!

Patty
