Possible CNN segment

Today I got an email from a producer with CNN's American Morning with a Zahn, who was interested in doing a live interview for Tuesday morning's (September 24th) show. Apparently this was in response to Sunday (yesterday) morning's article in the Washington Post ("Popularity of Breast Implants Rising Health Impact, FDA Oversight Questioned" By Marc Kaufman Washington Post Staff Writer Sunday, September 22, 2002; Page A01).

After we had talked for a period of time, she let me know that I could expect a communication from her later in the afternoon about whether or not it was a go for a live interview.

I just got her email saying this:

Subject: RE: CNN INTERVIEW REQUEST

I want to thank you for taking time to talk with me today on the phone. I am sorry that we are not able to include you in the segment - you have such an important story to share. However, due to the constraints of time - that will not be possible for tomorrow, but I have put your number in my rolodex and will be calling again soon!

So, there may OR may not be an implant related segment tomorrow morning on their show. I can't tell from her letter.

If any of you are interested in tuning into CNN's American Morning tomorrow Tuesday the 24th to catch any possible implant related segment, please let us know what it is about! I will try to catch it myself. However, I am a notoriously bad TV watcher--so I can't be relied upon to catch this. Hopefully there will be a future segment as promised.

Patty
