Guest guest
I've realised now there's too much mind control involved in pro- implant sites including those of ps, when they give the impression that the risk of complications and pain is a reasonable expectation in exchange for the final 'great' results. Over the years, many BA cases actually progressed from one problem after another. And they aren't even alerted to bail-out of implants altogether. Even if it's just aesthetically, it's always sad to girls being complimented in these sites when they so obviously look fake and worse than before. > I completely agree! Guest guest
How right on you are! Wow, mind control--it sounds pretty extreme, but that is truly what it is! If I was told instead by a truthful, ethical, totally honest plastic surgeon that my implants really would probably look like crap (they really did!) that they would be hard and unnaturally firm, that they would look fake, feel fake, that they would be uncomfortable, and that they might actually make me so sick that I wanted to die, I am sure I would not have been so excited about getting implants!! And I truly believe there are many, many women running around yacking about how wonderful their implants are and how happy they are with them, and TOTALLY not being honest about how uncomfortable they feel and how fake they look and everything else negative about them. They want so much to believe all the good stuff that they refuse to acknowledge the negative stuff. And on sites like 's they feed on this with a frenzy! Try going on there and saying something bad about implants and you will be chewed up and spit out in two seconds! Guest guest
Yes you are getting very wise to the issue now it sounds like. I also was taken in by these sites at one time, thought they were so great to have all this positive stuff. But in reality the positive results are as common as every PS would like for us to believe. It is sad, esp the sites sponsored by PS's. Those are really misleading! ----- Original Message ----- From: " yssg888 " <yssg888@...> < > Sent: Sunday, October 13, 2002 4:36 PM Subject: Re: I'm new, help! > I've realised now there's too much mind control involved in pro- > implant sites including those of ps, when they give the impression > that the risk of complications and pain is a reasonable expectation > in exchange for the final 'great' results. Guest guest
Allot of women are willing to accept less than perfect results to keep them. I know cause I was one of them at one time who would have done anything to keep those things C ----- Original Message ----- From: perlesetlacet@... I knew this girl (pro-implant) who thinks her implants are the cat's ass but they are crooked and look like round beach balls. When I asked her why one breast implant was much MUCH lower than the other (in the photo she sent to me), she immediately defended the implant and her PS by saying she has scoliosis (sp) of the spine and her back is off. Right. I know the difference between having a spine curve and total asymmetrical beach balls. Well, at least she's happy with them!Take care.LM
Guest guest
It is so hard to admit that you made a mistake with something like implants. Hard to say that you wasted a lot of money and time and pain to get something that you really don't like as much as you thought you would. For me even had I not got sick I admit that I would have put up with allot of discomfort and the trade off to have larger breasts. Sad but the media really pushes hard to make us feel that we have to measure up. It is also difficult being around allot of women with larger breasts and feeling like a freak or a little girl. IT takes allot of self confidence to get past it and to realize that being sexy is also being comfortable with yourself. Anyhow I am glad I learned allot from this issue. I still think that some plastic surgeries can be a good thing, but when it comes to implants there is so much more that needs to be told, so much more that needs to be studies. ----- Original Message ----- From: ~*Patty*~ Sent: Sunday, October 13, 2002 5:53 PM Subject: Re: Re: I'm new, help!
