Patty, I know the fat thing & eggs are crazy! I thought so too. But once you read the :"How I reversed my Hashimtos" you will see how a low fat, high carb diet is hard on your thyroid. And a natural- protein ,veggies & fruit is so much better ond easier on your system! I ate low fat/high carb for years. Didn't realy have a weight problem until I became hypothyroid last year. I gained 15 pds (even while walking/sprinting 4 mls a day on treadmill-I was tired though my workout seemed to take forever!) in just 4 months, and the hair loss, loss of energy and the swelling in my face, all that water retention! But, since I have been on his plan (which is almost exactly Dr. Kolb's silicone protocal) and since I have leveled out two months ago, and got the two problems out, I have just lost 5 opounds in three weeks! Your slow right now, but even on the meds alone, you will start losing a little weight, even more so if your working out. Good luck Patty!

WOW, ! This is just so awesome!! Wow, wow, wow! That's all I can say!

I love it when the blood work PROVES it all! There is no way someone could look you in the eye and say your implants weren't making you sick.

I am shocked about the eggs though--I couldn't imagine eating over a dozen eggs a week. My cholesterol levels, triglycerides and the actual HDL/LDL ratios were so awesome the last time I had it checked the doctor congratulated me. I wonder what would happen if I started eating that many eggs???? I know I absolutely don't want to gain any weight. , how is the weight thing going? I am getting bummed because I am eating so little, I feel hungry all the time, (I eat all 3 meals, but just small portions), and my weight loss has stopped, even with exercising, thyroid meds, and starving! I am scared to add alot of fat to my diet.

Well, you certainly started my day off right! It is so good to hear news like yours. Congratulations ! Thanks so much for sharing!

Hugs,

Patty

Subject: My case of hashimotos

Patty, as you know I am on Dr. mercola's plan for wellnss re: my hashimtos & rhuematois arthritis, and every three months he retests your lab work through Quest to show you proof that in comparision with your other lab tests, things are improving. Well, I bet this will perk you up seeing that you have just be diagnosed with Hashimtos. My endo told me that I would always have antibodies attacking my thyroid, the #'s of the antibodies could fluctuate somewhat, but they'd always be high and be there for the rest of my life destroying my thyroid. Well, my thyroidglublin levels were about 12,000 should be under 2(wow!!!) and my thyroid perovidase was about 1100, should be under 2. Now, on the other hand Dr. mercola believes Hashimtos is completly treatable, and in almost all cases through diet, stress reduction, and excersise you can stop the attack, and then once the attack stops, your thyroid is left alone to do it's job, and it most cases will. Guess what? In three months on his plan, and after removing those damn implants my throidglublin levels went from 12,000 to 90!And my thyroid peroxidase went from 1100 to 70! Isn't that great!!! I couldn't believe how fast those numbers went down! Praise the Lord. And eating over a dozen eggs a week, and more protein my cholesterol went down 31 points! Also, my liver function tests improved a bit, insulin levels are great, and my white blood cells increased! All I have to do is get those attack #'s down to under 2 and I am considered hashimto's free, and then we will wait & see through bloodwork, how my thyroid is functioning! And hopefully come off the meds slowly! So hang in there, and have hope girl!

Biothroid, 1 grain twice a day.

Cytomel, 5 mcg once a day now, to be eliminated entirely in 6 weeks.
