Yes, I experienced the same exact symptoms. The numbness/tingling was actually the first neurological sign/symptom I had after my implants were placed. It occured in my bilat arms, and more mildly in my bilat legs. I also had every test under the sun and nothing was found. They started working me up for MS. Those tests were inconclusive. But as the months went by, the numbness got worse, as did other symptoms. You might want to consider the implants as the cause. Are you having any other health problems? e ----- Original Message ----- From: mbtcmiller Sent: Friday, October 11, 2002 4:05 PM Subject: Numbness in arms and legs I got saline implants 3 years ago. Yes, I had numbness, or rather tingling in my arms and hands, especially at night. It seemed to come sporadically.

One morning I woke up and my right arm was totally dead. I remember feeling freaked out about it because when I realized I couldn't feel it, I picked it up with my other hand and it dropped back on the bed with a sickening thud, like a watersoaked log. I panicked and beat the heck out of it until the feeling came back.

I continued to have tingling for quite awhile after explant, but thankfully, it seems to have resolved like all my other symptoms! I have not had the tingling in my arms or hands now for many months. I never had any tests so I don't know what the cause was, but I can tell you with confidence that I think it had everything to do with my implants.

Wow, maybe this paralyzed feeling I have is from the implants. My arms and legs have this paralyzed feeling and I've had every test imaginable but to no avail. I even thought I have MS because of this. I can hardly even brush my hair.

I have had many neurological problems and many surgeries for them. I'm the lady that has gotten 3 shunts for hydrocephalus and Pseudotumor. I had my implants from 91 and by 94, I got hit with the illnesses from hell. I'm now on permanent disability but it's not until lately that I've started to suspect the implants being the culprit. I'll be having them removed soon.

However, I'm very concerned about my arms and legs going like paralyzed and no one can come up with any answers. They are always numb too. Maybe it's the implants causing this.

Sometimes I get so frustrated with all my health issues and not understanding where all of this is coming from makes it even worse. The implants however are a suspect. My family is telling me to see an attorney. I'm already part of the Dow Corning deal but I haven't really done anything with it.

However since I got the implants, the illnesses that I've gotten are unbelievable and all of my docs are very puzzled with all of this. I even got a bone marrow disorder in 1994 which is for life.

I got approved in 6 weeks when I applied for disability. That should tell you something about my situation. Yeah, I'm frustrated alright.

Sorry to be a downer but life hasn't been easy. When you lose your health, you've lost the most important thing in life.

Best wishes to all of you,

Wow, Leanda, this sounds awful, and I am so sorry to hear that you are dealing with this on top of all the other issues. Yes, I would venture to say that this feeling of paralysis is a complication of your silicone exposure.

I hope you get those nasty things out of you as soon as possible! Do you have a surgery date and p/s picked out already?

I know one other girl here in Las Vegas that had the paralysis like symptoms as well. She walked with a cane at times. She was explanted, and seemed to be doing pretty good. She used to be part of our group, but got off lost year sometime. I should find out how she is doing. I saw her when we testified before the Nevada State Legislature, and she looked really good.

I hope you recover quickly after explant-I know it will take some time--it is a long journey, but some women are lucky to get immediate relief of some of their symptoms!

I had some numbness but it was mostly in my toes, and sometimes my hands,

the weirdest thing for me was dizziness and and almost feeling numb in my

head. My concusion was that it had to be toxic reaction to my system from

implants. It is compeltely gone now

Good luck
