Me Mom/: Read your post. Sweetie, get a new dr. If he doesn't have the

responsibility to check on one of his patients, then he doesn't deserve to

treat or I should say not treat you. We are talking about your health, which

obviously he is not concerned about but we are. You have suffered long

enough with this. Remember, you as a patient have the right to expect

treatment when needed. What good is he if he can't be depended on when you

need him the most. You deserve the best and I would seriously think of

consulting another doctor, even though going through that process again will

be rough on you. You need to be taken care of properly. Thinking about you.

I have to agree with everyone else. It's time to DUMP this GI dude. Call

your MD or call the U of P yourself if he doesn't want to get involved.

You've been through way to much too long. Please make someone help you soon.

I'm really worried about you. Tery - FL

Hi Jan,

You are right, I have called the primary and he will get me the needed

appointment. I am so tired of not being able to eat. I need to find out

if they can correct this problem with out this very serious surgery they

have talked about. Actually, both the primary and Rheumy have told me they

would not let them do it. But I have to do something, it is all such a

pain. Tomorrow I hope to have an appointment with the doc, at the U.of P.

Thanks for your help,

Me Mom

I hope that your primary has helped you set up an appointment with U of P by

now. Sorry it took me this long to respond. Forget about going back to that

Dr. GI Goof. He obviously doesn't care. He also has quite an appetite! Maybe

you should tell them (if you ever have to call again) to think of a better

excuse when you call, or, at least, to vary it from time to time.

And, please, don't throw the blame back on yourself and even think for a

second that you have been " difficult " in any way. Your situation is

complicated, but that is in no way your fault. You've been so very seriously

ill, and you still haven't been given any positive direction from any of

these doctors yet. You still can't eat, and I'm very worried about you.

Yes, if your primary can't help you right away, please call the new doctor

yourself as soon as you can. Please let me know what happens.

I forgot to mention before that I think meeting in AC with a (and

Esther, Carol, , and anyone else who can get there) would be great!

Me Mom ,

May I ask where you live? You mentioned U of P. - University of Pitts? Univ

of Penn?

I am trying to learn about the members, but it is hard...so bear with me.

What surgery will they not let you have?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for your note, as you can see by the other e-mail, I was back in

the hospital. The doctor is at the University of Pennsylvania, his name

is Dr. Long. He is head of Bilary Duct Disease.

The surgery is removal of 10 inches of small intestines and part of the

pancreatis. It is a very long operation with a long recovery. Both my

primary and Rheumy have said not to do it. Thanks for your help.

For more photos from different PS's or any PS's out there, I was really hoping that we would have more by now, so ladies come on if you can get us some photos. Dont' worry about your identity, I can give you an alias, and no one has to know who you are, I can crop the photos too. If all you have are actuall prints and no scanner Patty has been very trustoworthy to scan and put up new photos, so again, please get involved, it is very helpful to have the photos up to show women that they will not be deformed. i think we all look amazingly well!

hugs

PS even bad pics are good to show, trust me there are some of me before implants that are very sad looking
