Guest guest
Dr. Melmed is a wonderful Dallas area plastic surgeon. As far as attorneys--I don't know that you have a case, but 1) some Dallas-area gals will know the attorneys to see and 2) I'd love to see the saline implantees get creative and file some suits! Guest guest
Thanks for the reply. I'm in Dallas and will call Malmed tomorrow. Don't worry, I think 3 surgeries for a product that doesn't work is enough! Especially in light of everything I've learned in the past 2 weeks since the rupture happened. I did find an attorney that deals only with PIP saline implants, so we'll see. What a fraud of an industry. Again, thank you Ruble
Guest guest
Wow I am so sorry to hear of your problems with pip implants. What a drag. I guess you probably signed the consent agreeing that you would basically take the risks of having these unapproved implants placed in your body. This is where the big problem lies unfortunately as most of us have learned. I guess you could attempt to do something, I suspect however that you will not have too much luck. I also suspect that if you get out your consent and read it you will find that you signed away your rights to any recourse, esp with these experimental implants. MY own personal advice, first get them out, if possible try to get the surgeon and the company to at least pay for the explant. You will probably be able to get him to remove them for free . You will possibly need a lift though, and you also will want to get the capsule and everything out as well, so again you may want to investigate the options there. I would not recomend replacing the implants. I mean think about how many more surgeries you could be facing? It isn['t worth it. You don't mention illness so that is great. I say get out now before you end up with worse complications than you already have had. It is so unfortunate that we end up dealing with this crap isn't it? The PS's are so scandulous and these manufacturers could care less how many times we have to continue to be reimplanted, for them it is a big money maker! For us it is nothing but pain and suffering. I hope that you will be able to find a good PS to help you. I am not sure what part of the country you are in but there are some really wonderful surgeons out there now that are experienced with this and that are so talented at fixing us up and getting all that crap out of us. Let us know where you are, as Bonnie mentioned there is Melhmed in Texas, there is Feng in Ohio, Kolb in Atlanta, Huang in Colorado, Barnett in Florida. There are lots of Docs that are worth traveling for. let us know how we can help. Guest guest
GOOD GIRL Maybe you will get lucky and someone will get you some cash for your suffering, though in my opinions no amount of money would pay for what i have been through. I am glad you found this site, please honey if you would like to share your story and before after pics we would love to have them. Also we can work with you to keep them anonymous or whatever you would like to do. I would love to have your story and also my good friend Jeena who runs another explant site would love to have them too. Let me know how things go and then keep in touch with us, we would love to help you go through this trying time. Good luck and godbless. Hugs ----- Original Message ----- From: dkruble@... Guest guest
What a crappy product, what a crappy doctor, what a crappy industry! , Oh, so true! You've realized it now too! So glad to hear your going to hook up with Melmed and that you have found an attorney to help you with the PIPS. You're on the way back to wholeness--be diligent and be patient, and you will get there, maybe with a few scars, but you'll get there.
