Guest guest
BTW, who is charging so much for an explant so we can be sure we don't recommend this unethical ps to anyone on this site? I'm sure you can't say, but just had to ask the question. Anyway, hope you're doing well. e

Guest guest
Hi Ann! Thanks for your inquiry about my endo appointment today. It went well. The doctor suspects what the ENT doc suspects--something rheumatological causing my body pain. I'm going to the hospital he's affiliated with in Bethesda next week to have blood tests so we shall see...... As for the hair loss, this sweet man told me I had lots of hair and nobody would ever know. He basically agreed with what the endos at UVA and GWU and the gyn at GU said, it's shock hair loss and nutritional and in time--providing I eat well and take care of myself, I should recover. He pretty much ruled out hormonal causes (except for thyroid--he wants to retest as it's been 18 months since my last test) and stated I never should have been on HGH because my body did not need it! Taking hormones one does not need can cause effluvium. I managed three small meals today. I had my usual cereal for breakfast and went out for Mexican early tonight--yummy. I had leftovers and just ate more. I need to eat at least 1,200 calories per day. Anyway, I'm glad I found this guy--my experience was good unlike some other docs I've dealt with. I almost did not get my dead ass out of bed this morning to go see him, I had felt hopeless, now I feel HOPEFUL. How are you doing? It's very nice hearing from you. Guest guest
LM I am glad that your appt with this doc went good and was not another disaster like some of your other Dr's have been. I am wanting to know what is going on with your breasts and your reconstruction situation as well. Can you share with the group more about your experience and your situation as I don't think the majority of the members here now really know about what you have been through. About how your first implanting PS butchered you and used staples on your breasts when he explanted you. I know your going to share your pics soon, that will be good for everyone to know that this kind of stuff, though rare, does happen to women. Tell us more about your story when you have time and let us know about your current Dr and what he is doing to help you. I know you had a hard time finding one that would work with you on this issue and got turned away by several PS's who were actually highly recomended. hugs In , Jane Doe <oceanlilly_csu@y...> wrote: > Hi Ann! > > Thanks for your inquiry about my endo appointment today. Guest guest
: Hi! I hope all is going well with you and your exams! Thanks for asking about my endo appt. He's good and has taken my concerns seriously. Next week I'll have the blood work done. I want to wait until next week, so I can get it done in one day (I have to wait until my monthly is over to get the Estrodial test). I hope I don't have a rhuematological thing going on--but it sure looks that way thus far. Anyway, I'll keep you posted. My breasts--They will need at least 1-2 more surgeries to 1. remove the railroad track marks left by the use of METAL STAPLES on my breasts. 2. fix asymmetry of breast and reduce size of right breast. 3. reconstruct shape--forming a more conical (sp) shape 4. reduce areolas. I'm having corrective surgery at Indiana/Purdue University since I already started with them. The surgeon who maimed me (corroborated in my medical records from Dartmouth, Hopkins,UT, IUPUI, town U and other private PSs) is ph L. Guinta in andria, Virginia. , I think you have misunderstood my story, as I know it's hard to keep up with all the details of everyone's experience but I WAS NOT turned down by any of the several surgeons I saw except for LINDA HUANG in Denver, she contended my breasts were not fixable. I traveled from NH to LA seeing the following docs: Demas and Carolyn Kerrigan at Dartmouth U med center, Armiger in Baltimore (professor at Hopkins), Spear GU, Louis Morales--UT and Leland Chick Salt Lake City, D. Sharpio in AZ, R. Gustiene in LA, Gordon in LV(he offered to operate but no way--more on that later) and of course IUPUI. All the above PSs stated that my breasts were able to be fixed except for Huang. She did not want to "get involved" in fixing what another doctor did and told me it was impossible to fix the bottom scar and to get implants (big ones enough to cover scar) and to have Dr. Benelli in Paris fix my areolas--this was my ONLY hope. Carolyn Kerrigan,MD breast specialist and pioneer of the vertical breast lift technique disagreed (as did the IUPUI and town U DISAGREED with this "assessment" of my breast situation) and my surgeon at IU flat out told my this is a classic (and sleazy) way a surgeon (Huang in my case) gets rid of a patient they don't want--the use of hyperbole about how the case is impossible so the patient will just go away. I need to write a separate post about my trip to Huang. The whole thing is pretty messed up--but warrants full disclosure before some other unsuspecting PS victim schleps all the way out to Denver for what may be a big waste of time, money and heartache. All in all I'm happy with my surgeon I have now though I regret not going to Feng. The reason I didn't is because they use general anesthesia and I didn't want more TE hair loss. Turns out, that's what they used on my at IU and my hair fell out anyway. I do wonder if Feng could have helped with my surgery in one procedure, I guess I'll never know. Hass was very sympathetic though about my butchering. Seems Feng fixes peeps like me. That's good.
